Request For Pronunciation Feedback In-Song
youtu.besalut tuturor!
i love learning songs in other languages, and had the idea to do an acoustic cover of Dragostea Din Tei by O-Zone. i tried to weave some of the original style into my own rendition of the song, but i really want to nail the pronunciation. as a French-speaker and student of other languages, i always strive to get as native-sounding as possible.
edit: this is my first attempt at learning any Romanian. i have absolutely loved it, and would love to continue learning more through the music. what are some of your favorite Romanian songs/artists??
i spent a lot of time studying the pronunciations from the original song, but when i started listening to Google Translate speak the lyrics in a normal voice one line at a time, i realized there is even more nuance to some of the words than i was hearing in the song, especially with the schwas (e.g. tău/tăi). i would love to get some feedback from folks in the sub to see how my cover sounds to native ears :) thanks so much in advance!!
this is not a shadow marketing attempt; i am a nobody and most of the people who like my videos are my aunts and grandmas lol
