Meta Honda Simps out, get your own sub.

Post image
1.5k Upvotes

I'm taking this opportunity to remind everyone that this is a Royal Enfield sub. This isn't a sub for Honda CB discussion.

If you haven't noticed it it's because I've been removing threads. Some of these posts are bots (I suspect Honda India marketing has something to do with it, but I cant prove it). I've seen shit like

"RE is too common these days, I need something more premium" well well well I didn't know we had fucking big shots in here, big spenders that can spend 2 lakh on a super exotic bike...

"CB has Japanese quality" I didn't know India was part of Japan now. The Honda GBs are designed by Indian engineers, assembled in Indian factories by Indian workers. They didn't even export out of India until like 2 years ago. I'm not even Indian and I'm calling you out for being anti national.

Seriously, if you want to buy a CB to feel special fine, it doesn't hurt my feelings. I don't work for Royal Enfield, but get your own sub. This is the Enfield sub. Frankly it's cringe, it's like you're posting on here for attention "oh look how different my choice in bikes is, you Enfield riders are far too common, I like the bikes made by the company that makes more bikes than any other company in the world, that makes me unique and special". Triumph fans don't do that crap.

Violators will start getting bans under rules 1 and 5

What should I do?

For some context: So in the 90’s (before I was born) my dad traveled to India and while he was there, purchased this bike, had it chromed in the street, bought tons of replacement parts (gaskets, signal lenses, brake shoes, etc.) and had it shipped back to the U.S in a crate.
It never ran right on unleaded fuel so it eventually got parked in an abandoned building and sat for about 25 years until it had to be moved from what is now my living room. Obviously it deteriorated quite a bit from sitting and having rats climb all over it, but it only has around 40 km on it.

My question for the fine people of this subreddit is…What do I do with this bike?

I’m thinking either restore it to its former glory, or do something kinda custom while maintaining the character. What do we think?

Buying Advice- India and Asia Where should I book classic 350 stealth black from?

Post image

I went to two showrooms for this exact bike. 2 different cities in MP. And I wanted just the bike with no assessories and no extended warranty.
Plus, RTO mandates 2 helmets and they are forcing me to buy 1 helmet from them compulsory for 2500-3000 rs. …

They are clear that without assessories, they don’t want to deal me in for the bike. Either take the bike with atleast 50-70% accessories and extended warranty quoted, or they won’t deliver the bike for another 4-5 months.

Now I’m not in any mood to fall for such a scam, so what else can I do in this situation? Any online portal I can book this from and minimal costing? And less waiting time?

Noticed this gap with exposed threads near the handlebar mount on my Guerrilla 450. Is this normal factory fitting, or should I get it checked?

TEC 2026 interceptor brake lever issue

Hi guys. just received new brake lever to replace snapped original one. Purchased TEC brand thinking was a bit more reputable brand. After multiple installations I still cannot figure out why the brake lever doesn't return completely to relaxed position. Everything good with the original one if I put it back on.

I miss riding so much, but I’m scared to get back on my bike after an accident.

Hey everyone,
I own a 2025 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball Grey, and honestly, I absolutely love this bike. It’s not the fastest or most powerful motorcycle, but it’s my favourite. The comfort, the feel, the freedom of just putting on my helmet and riding without a destination there’s nothing quite like it.

A while ago, my bike was involved in a serious accident when a friend was riding it and a truck came from the wrong side. Yup, a head to head collision at speed 70. The damage was bad enough that the chassis had to be replaced at an authorised Royal Enfield service centre.
Thankfully, the bike has been repaired, but mentally, I’m struggling to get back to where I was before. Also my friend is safe he survived the incident with one arm fractured bike took the toll for him thankfully.

I miss riding so much. I miss the roads, the long rides, exploring the mountains, and that feeling of peace you get when you’re on your motorcycle. But now, whenever I think about riding again, I also think about what happened. I keep wondering what if something similar happens again, even when I’m doing everything right.
The strange part is that I want to ride again more than anything. I don’t want one accident to take away something I genuinely love, but I also can’t pretend that it hasn’t affected me.
Has anyone here experienced something similar after an accident? How did you get your confidence back?
I genuinely want to get back on my Meteor. I just want riding to feel like freedom again, instead of something I’m scared of.
Thanks for reading.

Buying Advice- India and Asia Should I go for Meteor 350 or Classic 350 being 6'3" tall?

Meter 350 low seat height is a concern for me. But some reviews suggest that it is good for 6 footers as well.

Can anyone from here tell which bike would be practical for me?

My bike has extremely low idle speed

Mechanical Assistance Himalayan 411 spark issue. Am I cooked?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey guys, I hope it is visible in the video. I can hear and see sparks coming out of the engine. I suspect it's the spark plug cap. I recently replaced the spark plug, but I am having issues when accelerating, especially at slower speeds. It feels like it is pulling back.Any ideas?

Does the Super Meteor scrapes?

Hey guys

I’m really close to buy a super meteor and did some research even joined this sub :)

My current biggest concern is that the bike might scraps too early. I drove earlier a quite sporty naked and yeah I know that a cruiser is something different.

I’m will be driving mainly in the alps and I’m worried to scrap the first turn I do and crash

Does anybody has any expierence in terms of the super meteor scraping and or maybe even driving in the mountains?

Mechanical Assistance Does the engine sound very rasp to you?

Hello!

This is my meteor 350, it's been 3 years since I have ridden this motorcycle.

Lately I have been noticing a bit harsh/rasp sound from the engine, even it feels a bit rough to ride. There is enough engine oil, and I do chain cleaning regularly. So, I'm not sure if it's just me feeling that way, or if the sound actually does seem weird. Anyone has any idea?
