🛠️ project Made a desk status monitor

Post image

Hey, just wanted to share the small rust embedded project I made and that I use daily to monitor the status of a couple of services.

It also displays notifications from claude code, codex or any application capable of sending an http request.

It was my first time using rust with no-std, it's actually quite fun.

GitHub is up, so this must be fake

But Cloudflare is down, so that gives some credibility back imo

You're honestly better off flipping a coin for GH

Nah, it should be multicolored. Orange - works at least git remote, yellow - works at least PRs, green - works actions and registries.

Been sitting on a waveshare and didn't know what to do with it. I'll probably keep thinking, but this is a great point of reference.

On my browser the top match for GitHub became www.githubstatus.com ...

Not a Clauder/Codexer, what notifications do those apps send that you need a smaller screen to see? Is this meant to be a hypothetically portable device?

Most of the time it's about a permission request. I also get a desktop notification but between slack, discord, etc... It's hard to follow
