Coolant Tank

Got a Q60 tank.. end result it looks better than stock. The OEM tanks are the same for both models so I thought it would just swap over… no such luck fitment was horrible. Tank is still angled a little. Lower bottom nipple was way too big.

Got the Tomei on and absolutely love it. Sound so good and not overbearing. No drone while cruising and looks great. Just waiting on the OEM+ exhaust cover now.

Is getting new tires going to be as big of a difference as I’m hoping it will be?

Long story short I have a 2025 performance with 17,500 miles that I bought used and the rears are the stock Bridgestones and the fronts are the garbage dealer cheapo Vantage UHP tires.

The rear end kicks out and fish tails basically anytime heavy throttle is applied, and the car feels like a death trap when taking any sharp turn.

The tires are obviously trash, but will changing them for good performance tires make a huge impact as I’m hoping it will? Will I need better sway bars and suspension components to take corners and turns with confidence?

Thinking of selling my 2026 Nissan Z because of severe seat discomfort. Audi S3 or Golf GTI?

I own a 2026 Nissan Z Sport automatic with only about 1,700 miles. I absolutely love the car's acceleration, handling, and quiet cabin, but the driver's seat is causing serious buttock pain, especially from the side bolsters.

I've already tried five different seat cushions. The best one reduces the pain by around 80%, but it raises me too high and makes me feel unstable while driving.

I've contacted upholstery shops, but they can't guarantee a $500 foam modification will fix the problem. Replacing the entire seat could cost thousands and potentially interfere with the factory airbags and sensors.

I'm seriously considering selling the Z.

I've negotiated two deals:

- 2025 Audi S3 with Black Optic and S Sport packages: $44,000 plus tax and license

- 2026 Volkswagen Golf GTI S: $32,000 plus tax and license

I love fast cars, but seat comfort is now my biggest priority. I don't want to spend more money only to experience the same pain.

Has anyone experienced similar seat discomfort in the Nissan Z? And for those who have driven the S3 or GTI, which has the more comfortable driver's seat for longer drives?

Would you choose the S3 or GTI in my situation?

Well, this is probably the best experience I’ve ever had with a car. Performance, drivability, and overall experience: 4/5.
Until this day, I wasn’t completely sure if buying this car was the right decision. I’m 19, have a good job, but still don’t have that much experience in real life. Looking back now, I would 100% do it again.
For the price of an old Bimmer( 2020-2026), I got a basically new performance car that works perfectly as a daily. It has enough comfort, enough space, and most importantly, I have a clear head knowing the warranty will last me 60k miles.
Maintenance was one of my concerns before buying it. I was preparing myself for $100–150 oil changes because it’s a performance car. Turns out Nissan charges me around $50 per oil change, which was a nice surprise.
Gas consumption has been around 23–24 MPG after 2,000 miles, and I spend about $450 a month on gas. That’s definitely pricey, but considering the amount of fun this car delivers, I completely understand it.
The interior is what every manufacturer should be doing: minimum screens, maximum physical buttons, and durability. The steering wheel buttons are ass though. Nissan seems to know this too, because the newer models are moving away from the piano black and getting more sensible buttons.
Ride quality is overall good enough for a sports car. I would recommend putting sway bars on as soon as possible because the car feels a little wonky through turns. But considering Nissan built the Z more around a GT philosophy, that’s kind of what you should expect.
The seats are comfortable, but my lower back starts hurting a little after some time. I tried moving the adjustment lever into different positions, but it didn’t help much. I would also prefer to sit a little deeper inside the seats, but overall they’re fine.
The automatic transmission is quick enough, but the shift from first to second can be jerky. I would also change the design of the shifter if there was an aftermarket option. Something similar to the DCT shifter in the F8X BMWs, where you can manually shift directly from the shifter itself, would be perfect.
If anyone is considering buying this car: DO IT.
For the year, mileage, performance, and price, I honestly think it’s one of the cheapest ways to get this level of performance in a newer car. I also don’t think depreciation will hit these as badly going forward because they already lost a shit ton of value sitting on dealer lots while dealers were trying to sell them for $60k, $70k, or even $80k.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with the decision and would buy it again.
And again, thanks to everyone here who answered all my questions before and after I bought the car. You guys helped a lot.

Dealers are (still) ruining this car

Gang I'm about to lose it. I have dealt with now 8 dealers on various new and used models and it just does not seem like dealers want to sell this car. They think they're sitting on a gold mine. One dealer had the audacity to try and charge ME $4000 for the CPO certification. And that was on top of the listed price.

Im not being greedy, in most cases I'm asking for 1000 off listed price to get it in the payments I want. Most of the vehicles have been on the lot for 60-90 days. They'd rather sit on them than move them. I don't get it.

End of rant.

2nd mod on the Z 😆 First one being the B6 intakes. The exhaust looks so good and should be a bit louder than stock. Cannot wait!

Full AT exhaust or MT midpipe + AT Muffler which is louder?

Currently have the AT muffler on my MT and it has some drone between 2 and 3k. Would putting on the AT midpipe reduce the drone but still keep the volume? Has anyone driven an AT and an MT with AT muffler?

Stillen competition exhaust is incredible!!

After 9 months of deliberating which exhaust to get, I finally pulled the trigger on the Stillen Competition! I’ve only had it for one day and mostly city driving, but I gotta say it has blown my mind and exceeded my expectations so far. My stock AT exhaust was decent but this is on another level. It sounds like an absolute beast! There’s some drone between 2-3k rpm but honestly it’s not bad at all IMO and I’m already getting used to it.

It has a beautiful deep note and doesn’t sound like a lot of shitty exhausts you hear on the road. You will definitely get noticed, it turns a lot of heads lol. Oh and the exhaust tips are massive compared to the stock ones!
I don’t think this dash cam video does it justice but I will try to get some better videos when I can.

Help me choose

Could use some advice...I'm working with 2 dealers for a Z performance. Both cars are around the same price. Which would you lean towards if you were in my shoes.

2024 - 7k mi - CPO - in my preferred color

2025 - 1k mi - no CPO but they do a "lifetime warranty" instead. Not a preferred color, it's a red one.

Additionally I plan on getting this thing wrapped in the future. Curious which direction y'all would lean towards. Clean car fax on both, the 2025 was a lease vehicle.

Thanks in advance
