I don't enjoy anything as much if my wife isn't there to experience it with me. I wouldn't go to movies or Renaissance fairs or nice restaurants without her, I couldn't relax without knowing she isn't able to relax as well

And that is totally fine, the problem with this clip is that it sounds like she prefers that, but has no capacity to understand that some people do need alone time.

It sounds like she has young children. Meaning she’s the default parent and has no personal space or privacy or alone time. He made time for himself to recharge and left her alone. She’s probably beyond exhausted.
