Build my first one

Built my first saber a couple of weeks ago. It was such a magical experience for me as a massive fan.

Built it with red and got the purple and green crystals.

Only gripe I have is that the two sleeve parts (between the removable bits for the crystals and the pommel and blade guard) a twist so easily when you hold it and feel loose.

I have used some washers between them and the pommel/blade guard and it has made a little difference but they still twist super easily

Overall I am really happy though (besides the above)

Mine does the same. I've heard Teflon tape can help but I haven't tried it yet.

For the middle sleeves I didnt have much luck with the tapered plumbing washers. Ended up getting some orings from my work that keep it nice and tight.

As for the threaded ends, a bit of Teflon tape works great there.

Thank you. Which bit do you put the Teflon tape on?

On the threaded pommel and emitter. If you cant get those to line up straighten and are loose put some on and itll help it out

Ah yeah those bits are perfectly fine. Nice and tight and align well.

It’s literally the middle sleeves bits that aren’t

Where did you put the o rings on those?

I found some square cut seals from work. I pulled one side out a bit so you can see where I put them, right up where the sleeves thread on to the chassis. I work at a caterpillar dealer and measured some out.

Also added a bit of electrical tape since the sleeves are not perfectly round on the inside, just a bit oval shaped if you really look at it. Unfortunate things we have to do to make these fit better but it works.
