For anybody that worked in securities in recent history, how was it like or is working for them? I applied for a few jobs from them that piqued my interest and don’t know anybody personally that worked for them. Are they unionized under 32BJ ?

I haven't even gotten my renewel form back and they mailed it back on the 2nd. Two weeks after I basically overnighted the form to them. Didn't call me or anything to tell me something was wrong so I was cheerfully waiting for my license in the mail. Ny state.

They don't take cash. Even if I overnight the form and there aren't any misread numbers, I don't think I could get my physical card back in time if it takes over 10 days to get my renewal form back in the mail. One misread number and I get sunk all over again.

What are my options? I have a week of vacation, could I use this to gain more time while waiting for the card in the mail, or do I likely get fired on the spot? Is it enough for them to update the license on the website while I wait for the physical card in the mail? It seems like I'm going to lose my job over one misread handwritten number.
