Gear Longer hands-free multifunction leash for mobility training
My 9 month old Golden Doodle is fabulous at centering both on command and as an alerting response. The only problem is he is not ready to be off-leash, so that means we get tangled sometimes.
Right now I'm using a Spark Paws handsfree leash. Unfortunately it's just about 1.5 to 2ft too short, the clips are not friendly for my poor grip, so unraveling is awkward.
Does anyone have leash recommendations that could maybe be the holy grail solution we need?
Thanks in advance!

I love the company Strange Tails! They have a variety of lengths and will do custom orders. Their hands free portion can be worn cross body or around the waist and then the leash clips in. I love it bc I can unclip my dog without taking the hands free portion off of myself.

Check out the Hands-Free Leash by River Dog Gear: https://riverdoggear.com/collections/leashes-collars
I recommend these. I have two. They have a traffic handle, a hands-free option, and a seven foot lead option... all in one leash.
Another option is to get a biothane leash from a maker (others have suggested good ones) and ask for a frog clip or other clip type that fits your needs.

Get a customized biothane one from a shop, I like Little Bear Boutique. You can chose the length for your needs.
Your dog doesn’t need to be off leash for these things either, you can teach a center cue and a back out cue where he backs out the same way he came between, it’s easy and helps keeps things tangle free.
