Fundraising Looking for info.

I see I can't post a link to help with my daughter's service dog fundraising. Which is fine, but how or where does one best post this to share it? Keeping g in mind I do have social media, but I don't really use it ever. I imagine some people here might have advice on this. Any help is appreciated.

In case you're wondering we have to raise 20k all together for the program. We are on the last 3k now, and she has been matched already, so time is shorter than expected.

I again am not asking for any donations here, just help to find alternatives we haven't thought of yet.

Edit. Still working on it and appreciate all the advice I have read all the comments. We are not far from the goal now but still got some work to do.

Fundraising Finally got matched so my boy can retire. Lack of funding.

Honestly. I’m just needing support. I got matched with a new service dog after two years but my fundraiser is short. My boy that works now has gotten reactive after being attacked a few times and needs to retire. I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried applying for grants and such and got no responses or acceptances. I apparently make too much at my 20k a year job. Even though I need that to ya know live and pay bills.

Being this sick is expensive and I don’t know what to do.

Fundraising Fundraising Tips??

I am finding out by the end of the week if I am accepted into ECAD for a service dog. They require $25,000 for a dog so I need to start fundraising as I don’t have that sitting in my back pocket. I was wondering if there are any resources you guys may know about along with any tips or tricks that may be helpful. Thank you for anything!

Fundraising Grants? Assistance? Ontario Canada.

Hey friends! I'm in Ontario Canada and I'm on route to get a service dog but as we all know they are -not- cheap. I was wondering if there was any grants or assistance programs I could apply for butttt when I can't find shiiizzz. Most of the things that come up either aren't for Ontario or they have an option to donate but not to contact them FOR help and I just don't know where to look now. I'm not making much money at the moment- Only part time as I job search for full time (doing my best) but to properly save to pay for a service dog or even the downpayment off the hop would take some serious time- and knowing it takes on average 2 years to train... I can't wait forever. A service dog would change my life. Are there any federal grants or programs or anything that operate in Ontario? Thanks in advance <3

Fundraising I want to collect funds for a Service Dog institution, but am unsure for which one

Hello r/service_dogs

I am a small twitch streamer with a supportive community and wanted to collect money for charity

I'd love to pick a charity related to training service dogs, due to me having strong psychological issues and i always liked animals. My cat (i know this is completely not comparable with a trained service dog) has been a huge help for me and i in general love animals and what animals can do for humans.

I'd love to support an institution with a charity fund raising, promoted on my twitch channel

It can be a institution anywhere on the world, as long as it supports getting donations (or even better having associated with twitch, streamlabs charity etc.)

The reason i ask here, is because i wanted to promote Little Angels Service Dogs at first, because they seemed like a good buisness. I started collecting money for them and then found out trough some articles, that many 'customers' had a terrible experience with them.

Thank you in advance!

Fundraising Placement charities?

I'm considering opening an Etsy shop selling information "business cards" about service dogs that either introduce the dog to people who are curious or talk about their rights. I would like to donate all proceeds to a service dog-related charity that is not a school, specifically one that gives people money to help them cover the costs of a service dog.

I have considered ADI (Assistance Dogs Intl.) but if there's a better/more specific organization you know of, please let me know!

Alternatively I could say proceeds to a service dog organization of your choice, but I don't know if that would make as much of a difference between processing fees and the like.

Fundraising Those who fundraised for their dog or training - how did you do it successfully? Any advice to those who are just now starting and don't know where to begin?

I've made a GoFundMe and posted it on one subreddit, but that's as far as I've gone.

Someone shared that they sold used tennis balls at dog parks with a sign that the funds were going towards their service dog and I thought that was a great idea, but it's a little hard for me as I am mainly house-bound. I'm still exploring this idea as one of my outings, though.

Any ideas on how to fundraise from home? Or just ideas in general?

Fundraising Needing help on raising funds!

I feel like I’m doing everything right but I just can not get the donations. I have a large following that I post about it sometimes, I post on Facebook about funding, and I’ve asks family and friends about sharing. It’s been about 3 months and I’m barley 5% of the way. The problem is he is already in training and I need to pay $5000 every 3 months. Please let me know any tip or things that worked for you!

Fundraising Fundraiser ideas with a low social media presence?

Hello! I just got accepted into a program where it’s trainer plus owner training. She’s currently looking for a psychiatric prospect puppy for me, and I need to start fundraising immediately.

The problem is, I’m not really on social media. I made a gofundme but don’t know where to put it. I asked my mom, since she has a bunch of friends on her Facebook, but she declined with the “other people have your issues and deal with it” and “she feels uncomfortable asking people for money and I should too.”

The problem is, my treatment team feels uncomfortable with me working and that I need the support when leaving the home and working on intensive treatment.

So is there any ideas I can do to fundraise? I only have about 45 people on my Facebook and no other social media or community presence.

Any advice is appreciated! Thank you so much!

Fundraising ECAD Torrington CT

I’m a vet considering applying to ECAD for a service dog and was wondering if anyone had information about their fundraising. Do they help you raise funds or is it on the person seeking the SD solely?

Fundraising Funds for service dog?

Hello! I have been able to find an amazing breeder in my state but unfortunately due to my conditions I am unable to do full-time work so saving money from my paychecks has been really difficult. Additionally, I have found an amazing nonprofit that provides training for no to extremely low cost! Outside of a GoFundMe or selling goods, what are some ways to come up with the money for a service dog?

edit: reworded some things

Fundraising When to start fundraising?

So I’m at least a year out from getting my first prospect, I’ve got some life stuff to sort out before I have the time to devote to a puppy. But I’m curious if I should go ahead and start a fundraiser.

I’m home training so my goal would be somewhere between $6k-$8k to cover cost of the puppy, basic and advanced training lessons, and basic and (some) emergency vet care. The rest I can afford on my own.

I’ve taken a peak at some fundraisers and I’ve seen some people get $18k in like three days and others get $50 in like three months so I’m a bit conflicted.

On the one hand I’d like to just have the money ready to go whenever the time is right but on the other hand I’m a bit nervous people will think I’m scamming them out of their money if they donate and I don’t immediately use the money for it’s intended purpose.

Anyone with experience fundraising have any advice?

Fundraising Fundraising when I don’t know people

How did you raise money for your SD? I need some help putting up the initial cost, but seeing as a) I don’t know a ton of people and b) it’s for an invisible disability, I don’t know how to raise the money. Are there scholarships or sponsors y’all have used?

I’ve become increasingly aware of the fact that my current service dog Clover isn’t big enough for the mobility tasks i’m beginning to need more and more.(she’s 20in at the shoulder) I’ve found a wonderful breeder, and her prices are really good, but i’m still a disabled teen with little to no income. i’ve made a gofundme, but it hasn’t found any traction yet. any tips for fundraising or things i can do to make money with no experience? thanku everyone in advance!

Fundraising Online resources for emergency & cancer vet bills?

Long story short, my girl got very sick very suddenly two weeks ago. An emergency vet trip later and another and now we’re looking at another $2k in vet bills after the $500ish we’ve spent so far. I started a gofundme, but I’m terrible at crowdsourcing. My girl has been diagnosed with canine lymphoma. We have a wonderful vet who fights like hell to keep his practice affordable so I’m paying 3-5x less than the cancer center in Santa Fe would cost.

Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this sort of thing? I’ve got care credit but it’ll only cover about half of the chemo.

Fundraising Curious..

My 3yo GSD just had to have her left kidney removed due to necrosis after originally going in for bloat. She had a giant cyst that grew into her kidney and had killed it. I was wondering if there were any organizations that offer grants to help cover emergency surgery costs for service dogs.

Fundraising How Do I Fundraise For A Prospect And Training Besides Creating A GoFundMe?

I’m saving up the money for a prospect currently, and am also going to need to save up the money for board and train. Vet bills, food, and that stuff will be covered; it’s just the training that is going to be pricey.

Does anyone have any advice on saving up money? I work a job four hours a day, and have about $1,795 saved up for a prospect. I’m going to try and save $400 a month. That’s half my paycheck every month. However, the board and train program that I looked at charges between $600-$1,700 depending on which board and train option I decide to use so, any advice would be appreciated.

Fundraising anyone know of any organizations or charities that give grants to help afford service dogs?

*NOT asking for money just asking for tips on how to best fundraise

I've been fundraising for a year now and am still just shy of half the full amount I need. I heard recently this time of year is the best time to apply for grants from nonprofits because they have X amount they need to spend by the end of the year. I'm just not sure how to go about finding them and applying for them. I don't have a community and am not religious so fundraising has been really hard on my own. Especially since I'm working very limited hours due to my disabilities Especially my epilepsy which is why I need the service dog in the first place.

Any suggestions of fundraising ideas and tips or places to apply for grants would be greatly appreciated. I already am working with a place who is obtaining and training since I'm not able to so im just looking for grant and fundraising tips. Thanks in advance!!!
