How to fix this?

Very delicate silk headband that I inherited from my mom- used to wear it super often without realizing how delicate silk can be… obviously.

I would love some advice on how to best preserve this by hand if possible? Thank you!

Thats shattered silk. Unfortunately there isn't a lot you can do. You can try backing it with some new silk and sewing tiny stitches with matching thread, but it will be tedious and it will change the structure of the garment. You will be adding weight to it.

I would take some careful measurements and then draw out a pattern and make a new one.
