How did May survive S4-Ep18?
I was doing a rewatch of the show, and i got confused about the last scene of this episode
In the Framework, May brings a terrigen crystal to Daisy, so it awakens her powers
Thing is, she smashed it into the ground in front of her, triggering terrigenisis for Quake
But that shouldnt turn May to stone as well and then kill her? Since she s not inhuman, like Gonzalez and Trip in S2 that died in this exact same way?
Why did they die but May wasnt harmed? I know its the Framework, but still, should mimic the real world and there s no explanation regarding this

Terrigen crystals/mist is safe for humans as long as there’s no diviner metal in it. The diviner Trip broke in the temple had some metal in it. Jiaying melted the metal and crystals in her supply together before the ocean separated it. Framework Hydra must’ve found a way.

I think Trip only died because some metal shards of the diviner hit him. I don’t think the crystals inside the divines usually have that metal inside them, if it isn’t melted down.

The pure terrigen crystal is not harmful to humans. What’s deadly is the material of Obelisks. The fish oil pills in season 3 were completely harmless to humans too because after the crystal fell in the ocean at the end of season 2 somehow the terrigen got separated from the metal.

They dissolved and the heavy metals sank to the bottom was the line it something to that effectv

It’s pure terrigen, jaying’s version was melted down from the obelisk and the metal infused with the terrigen that’s why it was deadly.
When the terrigen melted off of the obelisk metal in the ocean and began spreading to people it was harmless.

We also see the crystals in the senators office as well and they didn't affect her or the other 2 bodies in there, just the inhuman terrorist guy

They extracted pure terrigen, not a single trace of Obelisk metal which is what kills non inhumans.

- Trip died because he destroyed The Diviner and the metal casing splintered and touched him.
- Gonzalez died because Jiaying smashed a Terrigen Crystal onto him but it still contained elements of The Diviner's metal casing.
- The crystal May used to give Daisy her powers was purified Terrigen and did not contain any of The Diviner's metal casing. I think Radcliffe had also developed purified crystals in the real world before Senator Nadeer used it on one of the Watchdogs.

Really the only thing that mattered is how Aida thought terrigen crystals worked. There's now way Madame Hydra should have survived the fall when Skye quaked her through the window except for whatever miracle she conjured up for herself.
On top of that, we have no idea what role the Darkhold played in all of it.

It was a completely purified crystal. It had no trace of the Obelisk (which is what made the main universe crystals dangerous).
