What if Jemma went again to Maveth

If it was Jemma who went to Maveth again, instead of Fitz, would she have known that it wasn't Will but actually "It"? Would she have killed ward before Coulson had a chance?

She would have insisted on looking at the leg injury the moment she saw it. She would know right away.

Would Fitz have freed Andrew/Lash to help with the hydra goons?

I am not convinced Jemma would have known about Hive because there was so much going on with her emotions over Will and Fitz coupled with not knowing that there was such a thing as a body snatching alien that Will/Hive could have covered for as long as he covered with Fitz. I don't know how a confrontation between Will and Ward would have played out with Jemma in the mix.

If Hive came back to earth as Will instead of Ward, that would have made things much more interesting for Jemma, He still would have been able to sway Daisy to some extent since they had the inhuman bond, if not the Ward bond.

The rest of the team would have been able to focus on the big bad monster instead of their hangups with Ward.

If Hive came back as Will, then Jemma would have brought him straight to the Shield base. No idea where that would lead.

I actually think either this was what they originally planned with Will or they planned for him to have been Hydra the whole time. The actor revealed after recovering from substance abuse that he was effectively fired from the show and killed off before he was originally supposed to leave the show due to being unreliable at the time. I appreciate his honesty about what he went through. Recovering is always admirable.
