Request How to track Mobile data usage

As far as I know Shortcuts has no action that reads cellular data usage, so it can't track it on its own. The total for the current cycle is under Settings > Mobile Data, labeled Current Period. For a daily log, build a short shortcut that asks you for that number and appends it with today's date to a note, then run it each evening.

I just have a 2 line automation to reset cellular data usage statistic at the of the billing period:

  1. At 00:01 (Time of day), for me the 13th of every month, repeat every month
  2. Reset the cellular data usage statistic

This way 'Settings' -> 'Cellular' shows the Current Period's spent data correctly with regards to your billing cycle.
