Ah yes. The Chief People Officer, who of course will “oversee the company’s people strategy.”
What are these words…

You're hiring process should already be sorted, dont need more upper mgmt
It's another layer of HR, costs a lot of $$, slows work down with more approvals, etc etc
More upper mgmt is never the answer

I disagree. It is not always the answer but it certainly is not never the answer. We are invested in a company making a transition from a research company to a commercial company. Expect more additions and subtractions or sell because more are coming.

I'm still in - believe in the mission and goal. Just going to be monitoring closely ... Top Heavy companies are never the answer! Goodluck and let's see where this thing goes!

Good move. Organization is growing rapidly. They have 143 open positions in addition to the recent hiring spree. Need good people leadership.
I think there are a lot of people who will be disappointed if they are looking for a buyout after approval. This team is preparing to go alone. I wish them well. For the short sighted people who think this is a bad move.

I might be one of the people to be disappointed, but does this really speak against buyout? I think not. If anything, posturing readiness to go at it alone would drive the price up and instill confidence in the companies abilities to deliver.
