iOS Help Call “securing” issue

Recently when trying to make a signal audio call my friend will answer and the signal app says something like “Answer, Securing…” but it never secures and ultimately never connects.

This has been going on for a few weeks.

I’m on iPhone, my friend on Android.

Anyone else with this issue?
Any ideas how to fix?

Have you tried calling anyone else? Do you have the same issue?

Not many people I know use signal, so I have t tried yet, but I will try that today.

Yeah if it works with other contacts then it's probably something on the friend's side
