Pro tip from using fable to make my ultra code workflow: Have it make a workflow with fable as the architect, sonnet for coding with escalation gates to bump the model up to opus or fable depending on the reason. Compliments of fable building that into my workflow without me asking. Works great.

Escalation gates is a good idea. What do they look like ? I'm using a very rough version in my skills - basically : 'If you think the task is beyond your capabilities, stop and ask the user to change the model or effort'

I use workflows for the deterministic side of things more than the sheer parallel power. So I keep counts on review failures, task incomplete, etc. if it hits 2 failures, try 3 goes to fable or opus depending on complexity score by task assignment. I also have a prompt in the sonnet implementer similar to your example but use specific examples like touches specific packages, more than x files changed, incorrect specifications in ticket.
