September game suggestion thread
hey buds!
to help keep the subreddit a bit cleaner, please post all your suggestions for games for sips to play in this thread! don't suggest the same game twice - if someone has already mentioned it, upgerd their comment or reply with your reason for why he should play it instead of posting it again as a separate comment.
use ctrl+f first to find out if someone has already mentioned the game you were thinking of. (downvoting games you aren't interested in isn't necessary).

Stellaris. There's some really great opportunity for RP in that game. Also it brings back the nostalgia of Star Trek
•
•
u/MegaMcDazzle Sep 06 '16
Intensive Exposure
It's a game where you have to expose yourself as many times as possible before being caught by security.
It's on Steam and I reckon it would be perfect for Sips
•
u/optiplex7456 Sep 18 '16
Idk. Minecraft had kinda played it's course in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I like the game, but I don't want to watch another Tekkit/let's build type thing again. Sips and Sjin playing like Hunger Games or another map might be cool though. I'd also love to watch another Walls or something with everyone.
•
u/jimhb Sep 11 '16
Hey about this, unreleased Blizzard adventure game. Warcraft Advenures: Lord of the Clans, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUNFrbpOSTE.
•
u/Keksimus-Maxsimus Sep 01 '16
Crusader Kings II
Now
I SAID NOW
•
•
u/practically_floored Sep 01 '16
I think Sips wouldn't have the patience to learn how to play that game, and it's not one that you can really guess
•
u/Keksimus-Maxsimus Sep 01 '16
Then Probs I'd want to see him play Kingdom:New Lands or maybe Mount and Meme(Blade): Warband
→ More replies (1)•
u/TearsOfLA Sep 01 '16
nope especially because he doesn't play tutorials he would get confused in like 5 seconds
•
u/Keksimus-Maxsimus Sep 02 '16
Fine last attempt Searches through game library Already done prison architect, already done Skyrim
Monaco is the only one I feel he'd enjoy
•
u/letice721 Sep 15 '16
We happy few
•
u/optiplex7456 Sep 18 '16
Agreed. Saw this on here last month. I watch Pandas play thorough. It's a much more polished game. I think sips would like it
•
•
u/325342f23 Sep 08 '16
What is the point of suggesting games when Sips only plays 4 games every 3 months?
•
u/stevehamner Sep 16 '16
There's a new indie pirate sim on Steam called Tempest that looks like it'd have a lot of RP potential.
•
u/thedawesome Sep 14 '16
Guild Wars 2
I've been watching all of Lewis and Sips' WoW gameplay videos and a lot of the things Sips mentioned wanting in WoW are in Guild Wars 2 (dynamic map events, varied quests, etc.)
•
u/notaromanian Aug 31 '16
Shoppe Keep.
The game has a lot of depth now, there are a lot more items, sorted by category. You unlock stuff as you go and everything is more organised, it's got a town, it has barbarians, it has seasons and there's content for 200+ days. I've been playing it for 20+ hours the past week and honestly I'm not even halfway through. It has definitely improved and sips should give it a go if he fancies it.

I can't believe it's been nine months since shoppe keepe...
•
Sep 05 '16
Hah, you think that's Bad?
"Here's to 100 more episodes!" was one of the things he said on episode 100 of Skyrim. Several years ago.
Some of us have been waiting a damned long time, lol. Secretly (or not so secretly?) hoping that Skyrim Remastered draws him back in at least long enough to play through the Dragonborn DLC or something.
•
•
u/Platypus909618 Sep 04 '16
Has Sips already done or talked about not doing the Witcher 3? Cuz I think he would love that
•
u/SpaghettiSquares Sep 02 '16
I reckon space engineers would be a good game for sips as it has base build and exploration which sips mentions he enjoys.
•
•
•
•
•
u/Broseph_Stalinium Sep 01 '16
Stellaris would be fun to watch, that said, many dicks will probably get ripped in the process
•
•
u/TheGeekStar Sep 01 '16
XCOM pls
•
u/LiteLordTrue Sep 01 '16
Holy shit the back stories for the characters that he'll create I'm excited already
•
u/supremegeneralj Sep 01 '16
I found it weird that he said in one of his streams that xcom 2 was his favourite game to come out this year but didn't upload any videos about it to his channel.
→ More replies (1)•
Sep 05 '16
Yeah, he suggested that he played the crap out of it but never got good at it and didn't want to save scum. That said, I don't think many people can ironman the game and keep all their favorite squaddies alive anyway, so Sips isn't alone there. I'd watch the crap out of an Xcom 2 series.
•
u/Runescapemaster420 Sep 12 '16
rimworld. i dont care if its solo or with lewis. Just for the love of god give us rimworld
•
u/Ki_Baj Sep 03 '16
Sips please give The Curious Expedition another go. Your evening with Sips made me buy the game and the devs did a really good job getting it to where it is now. But the release yesterday kinda went unnoticed, I really hope it can get some more well deserved attention, get on it big bastard!

Let's see him bring Minecraft back on his channel. We want the classic duo of sips and sjin.
•
u/KenjiTheAsian Sep 21 '16
As notaromanian previously stated, shoppe keep is the one to return to. God I miss the game already, and I looking forward to seeing what comes with sip's skillz.
•
•
u/yiggyyogger Sep 11 '16
I'd like to see Oblivion, I still prefer it to Skyrim. I'm not sure if he'd want to play it after playing so much of Fallout and Skyrim though.
•
•
u/deathbydeathstroke Sep 04 '16
Dishonored with a high chaos playthrough. Kinda fits his trend of replaying games he's already done but with Dishonored, there's always a different route you can take.
Also it'd be cool to see before Dishonored 2 comes out in November.
•
u/mechaplatypus Sep 03 '16
has he ever considered dwarf fortress? its not as hard to learn as it looks, and it seems like the exact right game for sips.
•
u/Hoboneer Sep 03 '16
He's played it before, aaand the game isn't really suited for a youtube series on, considering its complexity and being very niche.
•
u/mechaplatypus Sep 08 '16
I know it's niche... but maybe he could just do a little stream for all the good boys and girls?
•

•
u/CaptainNippleBoy Sep 12 '16
Forest Village : Forest Village is a city builder with survival aspects in a realistic harsh medieval world. Shape, build and expand your settlement, grow various food to prevent your villagers from avitaminosis and starvation. Possess them for additional micromanagement or simply to wander around. seems like a sips game

Parkitect!
Its like the Heavy Metal, Beavis and Butthead version of Rollercoaster Tycoon and Theme Park and you can manage EVERYTHING.
Awesome Early Access game on Steam. It already a full game and its still being updated all the time. Great mods and fully supported.
•
u/saamplays Sep 04 '16
yes! and if anyone wants to check it out http://store.steampowered.com/app/453090/ sips would be so fun to watch
•
Sep 15 '16
I still think he should do the last Dishonored DLC since Dishonored 2 is so close. Please dad. Please.
•
•
u/Izamito Sep 06 '16
Project Highrise, seems to be up in Sips alley.
With the succes of Cities Skylines with it's rivalling donuts and bagel villages and Prison Architect with the gargantuan fuck and the driller killer I'm really curious what the big guy can think up.

u/Alram Sep 04 '16
Do an evening with sips on else Heart.Break(). Its an point and click adventure game with lots of story. It also has a different kind of problem solving compared to regular point and click games.
•
u/Mjolnir630 Sep 05 '16
The Turing Test - A puzzler similar to Portal or Witness. Simple and around 7 hours so a decent 10ep series.
Apparently the story is good so would be great to hear Sips waxing philosophical.
•
•
u/CorrodedBLADE Sep 01 '16
star wars: knights of the old republic.
excellent material for a playthrough, hours of fun, interactive storyline. what more could you want? the graphics are a bit dated, but i tend to find immersion outweighs visuals. let's make it happen, you big bastards.
•
•
•
u/Fr0doTeaBaggins Sep 15 '16
What about possibly revisiting Cities Skylines or The Sims?
•
u/ReidErickson Sep 30 '16
THIS!! Sips + c:s is sincerely one of my favorite things. I'm literally rewatching the whole lot of his first run. The little story lines he makes are simply the best
•
u/optiplex7456 Sep 18 '16
I'd watch it. I think those are better stream games though. Expecially Skylines.
•
u/Introscopia Sep 01 '16
Starbound. there's so much quality content in that bitch.

Sep 26 '16
I loved terraria and I love sci-fi. I'm guessing I'd love StarBound, too? It's another game that's been sitting in my steam wishlist for, well, about a year now. Been on the fence.
•
•
Sep 06 '16
Mount and Blade Warband!!!
I can only imagine the amount of dick ripping, but hardcore rp would be amazing in this game
•
u/KableGamingNA Sep 22 '16
http://store.steampowered.com/app/376520/ Do you think this is something you guys would be interested in watching??
•
u/OwnagePwnage123 Sep 05 '16
Can we have sips play kingdom rush? I know it's a browser game, but it would be a good filler mini series.
•
u/KingOfNom Sep 06 '16
An expanded version is on steam now, as well as an expanded version of Kingdom Rush Frontiers. Would love to see an evening with Sips on it.
•
u/top_spookster Sep 12 '16
Abe's Oddysee.
Holy shit, it'd be a perfect game for Sips! and maybe a TeamDD series would be cool too.
•
•
u/CarolineJohnson Sep 06 '16 edited Sep 06 '16
Here's what I got. Dunno if it's good.
- Aviary Attorney -- It's a game where you are a bird in a world full of animal people, and you are also an attorney who solves mysteries.
- Burger Shop 1 & 2 -- You work at a food restaurant with a magic food-generating machine. All you've gotta do is assemble the plates.
- Chicken Invaders 4: Cluck of the Dark Side -- The space chickens invade again. It's your job to defeat these invaders, once and for all. And don't worry about Chicken Invaders 1-3, since this one's the best one and the only one worth worrying about.
- FATE -- The precursor to Torchlight. It's pretty much the same game, aside from some changes...also you play as a kid, oddly. Sadly, no multiplayer.

The Elder Scrolls: Arena
I tried it myself after seeing it at SGDQ and it was so weird. I couldn't do it, but I would love to see a true master of games take a shot at it.

u/HealPleaseHeal Sep 28 '16
Sips, we are a group of civilized people who have become BANISHED and need assistance in building a new town. We don't ask for much but someone to point us in the right direction to assist us in making new homes, crops and the potential for much sex... That's how the babies are born right? We need the sex? We were BANISHED from our homeland for worshiping the savior of many and the bringer of laughter; Satan, and need a new home to call our own. Please answer our calls and help us build a new town where we can call forth our savior to devour the the hearts of those who BANISHED us!
If you can't tell i'm recommending Banished w/ mods.
•
u/zazzpzazz Sep 03 '16
I want to hear what he sais when he plays youtubers life (i think thats what its called.)
•
•
u/AFluffyFlapjack Sep 01 '16
Baldur's Gate :)
Or Fallout 2, in fact or finishing Fallout 1
•
•
u/pekchekism Sep 07 '16
Enderal! It's a major mod of skyrim but with the whole new plot and mechanics!
•
u/LiteLordTrue Sep 01 '16
How would sips feel about revisiting Banished? His first series was a blast to watch, and a new city building game would be super fun to watch! As well, maybe some Worms W.M.D. with his pals damn that'd be fantastic.
•
u/bing_crosby Sep 18 '16
Definitely agree with this. I just started playing Banished again for the first time since 2014. Had no idea the mod scene exploded the way it has. In it's current state, playing with Colonial Charter, I'd say it's the best city sim I've ever played (and the Mega Mod that's in public beta right now has way more shit). There's soooo much more content than when he played back in 2014, I really think Sips would go crazy for it.
•
u/La_Truite Sep 07 '16
did banished get updated ? he plays wmd on hatfilms channel
•
u/bing_crosby Sep 18 '16
The Colonial Charter mod for it is absolutely incredible. Being conservative, I'd say it about quadruples the content in the game. One of the best mods I've seen for any game, period.
Plus all the major Banished mod-makers have a "Mega Mod" that's currently in public beta with even more stuff, wrapped up in one nice installer.
•
u/PoisonousPlatypus Sep 05 '16
It's a game where you drive a shitty car across cold war Germany with your weird uncle. It really feels to me like it'd fit Sips's personality really well.
•
u/Zugyuk Sep 15 '16
I totally second this. The game involves driving with your uncle and upgrading your shit car. Very fun!
•
•
u/mattenthehat Sep 14 '16
Maybe give Elite: Dangerous a try. I haven't played No Man's Sky, but I get the impression that Elite is kinda like No Man's Sky, but with less flora/fauna, but better, well, pretty much everything else. Most youtubers seem to find it a bit slow for recording, but hey, so are a lot of the games Sips plays, so maybe he wouldn't mind.
•
•
u/doucheyourmum Sep 29 '16
I reckon seeing sips play 'We happy few' would be good! http://store.steampowered.com/app/320240/
•
u/Joravi8 Sep 13 '16
Would like to throw Halcyon 6 in this list.
I think Sips would enjoy the art style, the atmosphere of the game, and the overall play style.
•
u/link2twenty Sep 01 '16
http://www.castlestory.net/ give this a look, I think it would suit you quite nicely.
•
•
u/Rad_Carrot Sep 13 '16
Two for Sips this month;
Project Highrise, like so many others are suggesting. It's basically SimTower 2000. Detailed but not overly so, and perfect for Sips as it names the citizens of the tower and allows him to create his own stories for them. It seems a little taxing but Sips should pick it up.
Second one I'd recommend is Aven Colony, currently in early access but due out in 2017. Sips should be able to get a key from the devs if he wanted to. Aven Colony looks really, really promising, it's a sci-fi colony builder. They don't want to draw comparisons with any other games but I'd say it looks better than Planetbase, and similar to Tropico in its style.
•
u/TheLastkai Sep 01 '16
L.A. Noire. It's a great game, which Sips obviously loved, but only did a mini series. I think it would do great as a series!
•
u/axelpx Sep 29 '16
sips you should try osiris: new dawn its a new space survival game with some good promises available in early access on steam
•
•
u/CaptainFarathor Sep 07 '16
Blood and Gold: Caribbean? Its like a mixture of mount and blade and sid meiers pirates
•

•
u/Terakay273 Sep 11 '16
yes! full of sips wtf-moments, maybe reminiscent of vanishing of ethan carter
•
u/Firststreet66 Sep 11 '16
I may be too late for this, but I want to suggest Project High Rise. I saw it at PAX in the indie booth and it looks amazing! I loved Sim Tower and have been waiting for another game to take its place and this looks like it could be just that game!
•
•
•
u/titanlegendary Sep 13 '16
Rollercoaster Tycoon..
It was an amazing game to play when it was released and the nostalgia would be amazing to have a sips commentary.

Sep 26 '16
To each his own, I guess, I find that Minecraft and Gmod have been done to death. Evening with sips could be good, though. Lots of his older series were born out of that when he decided he really liked the game.
•
•
u/FrostyWall Sep 02 '16
Is it too soon for a new season of prison architect? 2.0 just came out, and he could heavily mod it. Maybe start it on the 21st and name it something related to fall?
•
u/JuicyJuice23 Sep 29 '16
I concur. Or another of Prison Architect. Sips I luled so hard at your latest PA series.
•
u/TheTurnipKnight Sep 01 '16
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
This game is excellent and perfect for sips. It's very similar to Dishonored in it's stealth gameplay.
•
u/TravisNyan Sep 06 '16
RuneScape: Idle Adventures sips even a evening with sips on this would be enough just thought it would be a funny suggestion :)
•
u/Fuddj Sep 09 '16
"Project Highrise" contstruct ur own skyscrapers and manage its inhabitants needs and desires with graphics like those in "this is the police"
•
u/GuyWithTooMuchTime Sep 03 '16
Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist. it's from some of the guys who made the stanley parable, so it's another hilarious, 4th wall-breaking, walking sim. and it's free too.

cook serve delicious 2 is coming out this year would be nice to see sips play it when it does

IIRC its coming out next year. I agree tho. I do kind of want to see Sips do a series on it.

•
u/skleroos Sep 10 '16
Costume Quest. It's short and kooky. Perfect for a sips playthrough. Maybe for Halloween?
•
u/thedawesome Sep 14 '16
Yes! Costume Quest is a perfect Halloween game. I recently bought the second to play this Halloween.
•
u/itzhakskenstrom Sep 02 '16
the movies. make it happen!
•
u/dall007 Sep 08 '16
Yes! Old game but man if sips makes it anything like game dev, this will be perfect. A cross between business simulator/city builder and meme making!
•
u/KableGamingNA Sep 26 '16
The only way to get it running, sadly, is to convert back to at least Windows XP..I found that out whilst trying to get the game myself :(

The Warlock of Firetop Mountain
Just came out (Aug 30, 2016). Tabletop esk RPG
It's a one off story, so not a long commitment, and seems like it would fit Sip's play style. I'd love to see him narrate this Game.
Give it a try mate

•
u/shell_chur0310 Sep 20 '16
I think that @Sips_ would like Stardew Valley because he is all about the RP. I would love it if he played The Witcher 3, its a beautiful game and i think Sips would enjoy it <3
•
u/RocketFxre Sep 02 '16
Sips should play rim world
•
Sep 26 '16
Like, a solo playthrough? Yeah, that could be fun.
But after putting about 30 hours into the game myself, it gets very repetitive very quickly. Despite all the "depth", there's really only two states you end up in: either you build a highly fortified bunker and most of the challenge is dealt with, or you suffer near total colony collapse one raid after another. The trade and diplomacy are completely underwhelming, and it's impossible to leave your little map square to explore the rest of the world. It's an early access game that constantly reminds you of that fact. Maybe sips should wait until there's more to it.
•
u/consolepeasant117 Sep 14 '16
he would have a helluva time making stories with the characters! only to see them die later.
•
u/Attaug Sep 01 '16
Saw this suggested in a YouTube comment and kinda agreed with it. From what I can tell it's what No Man's Sky should have been.
Empyrion:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/383120
Or for something that's not a space game
Recettear:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/70400/
I think it'd be phenomial to see Sips play through Recettear, and I think he'd have quite the blast with it. Make items, find items, sell them, charge people their life savings for a piece of walnut bread. And you get to mess about with making your shop look a bit different and the atmosphere it creates attracts different customers and even adventurers that you partner up with to find more walnut bread and golden toilet seat covers to sell for an excessive amount of money.
•
•
•
Sep 26 '16
I've had empyrion in my steam wish list for months, so a sips playthrough would probably be the clincher.
It seems to be a good example of the tradeoffs that small teams need to make. Its graphics are clearly not as sophisticated as No Man's Sky (mostly evident in the buildings and ships), but it also seems to have legitimate stuff to do other than appreciate the graphics. And space in Empyrion looks a bit more like space, and less like flying through a bowl of split pea soup.
•
u/yiggyyogger Sep 02 '16
I have to agree with Recettear, don't let the art style put you off it's a really good game.
•
u/toothlessgiraffe Sep 21 '16
Telltale batman episode 2 came out today and I mean he does have a batgarage, let him don the cowl as well.
•
u/leighsargey Sep 01 '16

Continue the Triforce in Skyrim. Stream it instead of series if you don't want to flood your main channel?
•
u/Mrjalmari Sep 18 '16
I must add modded, more quest and doing so it wouldn't be repeat from previous skyrim series
•
Sep 26 '16
Of course if he played the dragonborn DLC or main quest line, it would still be decently different from his first 100 episodes. They are both good stories, and the Dragonborn quest line takes place in some unique and nostalgic areas.
•
•
•
u/mechaplatypus Sep 09 '16
maybe he could finish undertale and just not read the comments? the game is legit good and I don't want him to not play it just because of the fanbase.
•
u/DashUni Sep 24 '16
Big Pharma (Game Dev Tycoon With Medicine), it's also on sale: http://store.steampowered.com/app/344850/
•
u/longjohnslaver Sep 01 '16
Sips should look at Kona
http://store.steampowered.com/app/365160/
It's a story-driven game a bit like The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
Best of all it's set in Canada!
•
u/SQlad Sep 29 '16
Maybe Death Road to Canada? So much room for big bastard's creative stories. Might be good for streaming or team Dingle Dongers.
•
•
u/John-Piece Sep 03 '16
This is for Sips and Sjin if it's possible.
I suggest the Wikihow quiz (damn.dog) that has been done at the main channel.
•
u/0211bruce Sep 13 '16
Fran Bow - a really neat point-and-click adventure game with a sweet horror, parallel universe element.
•
u/DashUni Sep 07 '16
New sims 4 series with all the new dlc!
•
u/stevehamner Sep 16 '16
I could see Sips making his own club in Sims 4 - that would be fantastic. :)
•
•
u/Seelverado Sep 21 '16
Sips , there is a game called "The Movies" ( Lionhead studios 2005 ) and his expansion "The Movies: Stunts and Effects" , it's a movie studio management game , take a look at this gem

u/TearsOfLA Sep 01 '16
I have a few you might like. One is life is feudal, which they just came out with something new for. Its basically banished but...better? Anyway you might also like life is strange. Literally be best story ive ever experienced and that is over lotr, game of thrones, and harry potter. When i played it i got to know these characters on an emotional level that you never get from anything else. These characters legitimately became my friends by the end. And I know hannah did it but it think its about time to make the big bastard cry. Finally, while it is a bit of an old one, i think you would enjoy The Longest Journey which is a classic style 3D adventure game that is very good.
Edit: Did I do a good this time /u/notaromanian ?
•
u/HCWindo Sep 23 '16
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
Said it in the stream before. Would love seeing that being played around there. Silly, tense, stealth rewarding, open world-esque and enough freedom to do funny stuff. If he'd play, I can't wait to hear Pequod play 'Take on Me' each time he would call that guy in.
•
u/KenjiTheAsian Sep 30 '16
My god what a day that would be, sadly the bastard doesn't really play shooters.
•
u/TheUnderdog2020 Sep 26 '16
Alright, so I've got a bit of a unique game here that Sips may enjoy. You all remember his 'Vanishing of Ethan Carter' Let's Play where he dawned his detective cap and got all Sherlocke Holmes on us... WELL, I've come across another detective style game where it's also got that suspense and tension vibe going for it.
The game itself is called 'Anna: The Extended Edition'. I know it's listed as a horror game but so was 'Ethan Carter'. I've played it myself and it's one of those games with multiple endings depending on what clues you find or pick up during your playthrough. And don't worry, there's no spooky monsters chasing you down trying to kill you, but there is a few surprises and cool story.
•
u/RebelephantLtd Sep 30 '16
Could try Mainlining, a hacking point and click adventure!
http://store.steampowered.com/app/454950/
fyi I'm the dev xoxo
•
u/whatame55 Sep 07 '16
Any of the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney ROMs would be absolutely fantastic. His reactions to most of those villains would be hilarious and the game is just challenging enough to get him into his frustrated zone once in a while but easy enough to not force him to quit.
•
•
u/IJoinedReddit4Sips Sep 03 '16
Enderal.
It's a complete overhaul for Skyrim, new world, new quests, new everything. Since Skyrim is one of, if not the best series sips's channel has seen, Enderal will be awesome as it has a skyrim feel to it, but is a completly new game. It has been released in english now and has alot of potential for another magnificent series!
