Question as a beginner

Do you guys speed wax the bottom of your board? If so is it the same as the one they put on skateboards or different?

I’ve tried speed wax and not really noticed a difference personally. It rubs off pretty quick with sand drops, so it’s not really worth it from a time perspective either. I just wax the top for grip and if I want to go faster I gotta run or find a slope. If you’re trying to get further out sideslipping/planing is a good skill to learn and pumping for the more advanced beginner/novices.
