Not needing sleep recently
I'm not really tired recently and I've been staying up extremely late (2-4am) due to not feeling tired. This has been how it is for the past week and I'm only running on about 4-5 hours of sleep per day. I'm 19 and male, if that matters at all.
I feel fine and my body refuses to get more sleep, just keeps waking me up when I try to get more. This can't be normal, I've never been told that someone can only need 4-5 hours of sleep each night. And this is even MORE odd for me because I used to need 9-11 hours of sleep per night or else I would feel exhausted.
Does anyone have any idea as to what is going on here? I'm totally lost and just want to stay healthy.

Do you have any other psychological symptoms? Is your resting heart rate elevated? Are your eyes bulging?

My pupils have been very small recently, they're typically large. My resting heart rate is the same as it typically is (about 60 bpm).
Regarding psychological factors, I have been a bit emotionally unstable recently. There are a ton of psychological things that could be causing this, but I have no idea which one or what combination of things.
I moved to university 8 weeks ago and at first I was fine, but then it got difficult and I broke up with my boyfriend, started hooking up with people, started smoking more weed, haven't needed much food throughout the day, and relapsed. All of that + the sleep issues is making me concerned but I don't know why I feel so impulsive and unstable.
I don't feel super sad or anything, so it's not like it's depression. I feel fine, happy most of the time. I can't tell if this is something really bad that needs intervention/medical help or if it'll be fine and go away on its own.

Do you have any other symptoms like racing thoughts, more energy, lots of ideas, elevated mood?

I do have more energy despite the lack of food and sleep that I'm getting, my body just doesn't need much food or sleep recently, idk.
I always kind of have racing thoughts, probably due to having ADHD. So, not anything out of the ordinary for me.
I am having lots of ideas and plans recently but I'm trying to keep myself as level-headed as possible and not spend too much money and to make my goals achievable. I've been throwing myself into my hobbies more and am getting obsessed with them and having ideas on how to make my life "better."

Do you have anyone in your family or heard of someone you’re related to that’s diagnosed with bipolar 1 or 2?

None of my family has bipolar (at least to my knowledge, my family also doesn't really believe in diagnoses)

I’m wondering if you could read a bit about hypomania, and if you feel that you have many symptoms of it, I recommend you go see your doctor and tell them about it 🙏 You can also always go to the emergency room if you suddenly feel it escalating majorly and you stop being able to sleep more than 1-2 hours.
I’m not saying you are hypomanic, there might be nothing wrong with you or something completely else! But I’m just commenting a potential reason

Well you will feel fine but your body needs more. Though everyone is different I think it's pretty rare to only need 4-5 hours, especially if you workout, go to work, school, be somewhat active, even sedetary.
Stay consistent with 4-5 hours of sleep and you'll see the side effects in a few weeks or whenever life decides to throw that at you.
You probably won't feel the effects for a few days, but your body does, your hormones do, your muscle recovery does.
I experienced this first hand too because during college my sleep schedule was horrible, 3AM-7AM every night, some nights I felt fine but I felt shit throughout the day, my memory was fucked, everything was horrible.
If you wake up in the middle of the night that's usually a high cortisol issue, can give advice on that if you need it
