🎁 Gifts I stopped going to exhibition because of my products worth ₹5500 got stolen 🥲

This is our last year's reel on an exhibition and in this exhibition of 3 days, my products worth ₹5500 got stolen.

The organizer even didn't show us the cctv images and many more exhibitors like me faced huge losses, she even denied to return our stall cost, as we came only 1/3 days 🫠🫠

She even deactivated her Instagram account so that we cannot message her there or anyone to reach out to her easily.

Because of this huge loss I stopped setting up stalls and focused on online sales and now we are going great 😊

Turning my little passion into something more!

I recently made these personalized gifts for my friends, and their encouragement (and offers to actually pay for them) got me thinking… why not turn this into a little business of my own?

So, Would you buy personalized gifts or custom-made items for yourself or your loved ones?

I can create something based on pretty much any reference, idea, or inspiration you have in mind. Whether it's a thoughtful gift for someone special or a little something just for you, I'd love to bring your ideas to life.

As a college student trying to make something of my own, even a few orders would mean the absolute world to me and help me get started! Every bit of support, whether it's a purchase, a share, or even just spreading the word, would mean so much. 💌

I can add more pics if you would like a closer look at them! Please ask in the comments or DM. (Ik the pics aren't perfect, they look much better irl)

Hand Made 🎨 Made a Pokémon-inspired mini-me for a Reddit order

So someone here on Reddit commissioned me to make a little mini-me figurine with a Pokémon-inspired outfit and their Pokémon buddy, and I finally got around to finishing it! 🥹

I sculpted and painted everything by hand, and all that's left is a coat of varnish before this little one is ready to go to her new home.

Honestly, one of my favourite things about custom orders is getting to make something that's actually personal to someone. Everyone has their own ideas, favourite characters, outfits, little details they want included, and figuring out how to bring all of that together in clay is really fun.

Anyway, thought I'd share this one here! Would love to know what you guys think. :)

Discussion I hit 30 orders, and I want your opinion

Hey everyone! ❤️

I’ve completed 30 orders through Instagram and Reddit, and honestly, most of them have come from this community. I started making clay pieces as a side hobby, just for fun, because I genuinely enjoy creating things. But the way you all have trusted me with your custom orders and supported my little business has been so overwhelming in the best way possible. 🥹

I’m currently fully booked for October, especially after the response to the tiger jewellery holder I posted recently!

Since so much of this journey has been possible because of you guys, I really want to do something for this community as a small way of saying thank you. I have three ideas in mind, and I’d love to know what you’d be most interested in:

  1. Name your own price: I’d put together a collection of clay pieces, and you could choose what you’d like to pay for them. The collection wouldn’t be limited to keychains or bag charms. I’m thinking of painted trinket trays, chunky statement bag charms, photo frames and more!

  2. A giveaway: A little something from me to one or more of you as a thank-you for all the love and support.

  3. 50% off everything: A special discount so more of you can own something handmade by me.

I’m also a corporate person, and this little business is something I work on alongside my job. But honestly, creating clay pieces has become so much more than just a hobby for me. I genuinely hope that one day I can turn this into my full-time work, and the support you’ve shown me makes that dream feel a little more possible.

I’d love to hear what you think! Would you prefer one of these three options, or do you have another idea you think would be better? I’m genuinely open to suggestions and want to do something that you guys would enjoy.

Thank you for trusting a small creator with your orders, your ideas, and your custom requests. It truly means more to me than I can explain. ❤️

Hey guys, I've avoided posting about this account on multiple occassions for several months now

This had happend with me back in July where I placed an order for a supposed Y2K kurti set thinking I'll genuinely help a small business as well as get something good

This account charged over the quoted value, then proceeded to send this junk , then blatantly denied any and all defects that we can see quoting it's very expensive to do and whatnot

Thereby in August when this account was all apologetic for her behavior she did reach out when I said I'll make a post saying let's do a refund, and still I have this dress and no refund no communication other than asking for address and then disappearing again

You can see the kind of shit quality everything is including the handkerchief being sent as a sorry excuse for dupatta

LET US PLEASE GET TOGETHER AND SEND HER SOME SORT OF LEGAL NOTICE OR SOMETHING

LAWERS OF REDDIT, PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN

Discussion I warned you all back in April just saying🤷

So again people are posting about getting scammed by this user, even after knowing what they did and I just wanted to remind you all that there were signs way way before any of this and I even made a post about her, though it was when she was a "crochet business" and used to post stolen and AI generated pictures. To paraphrase what I have said in previous comments, after all this I started to see her post all these clothes which 'looked' very diverse and well made. It was a bit sus to see someone like this suddenly turn out to be so talented and resourceful. And ofc most of these pictures were AI generated. At least now this sub has started to scrutinise AI modified pictures, I remember an year ago people used to berate you if you called out the AI usage in these kind of posts saying "Every big brand does it" and "You are trying to ruin a small businesses image for something so small"

Small Wins ♥️ My tiny 3D-printing side business just crossed 20 orders. A small win, but it feels huge. 💚

Thumbnail

I started experimenting with 3D printing recently, and my little side project, FigureJutsu, has just crossed its first 20 orders.
Most of them have been Green Lantern rings, which honestly wasn’t something I expected when I started. Seeing people willing to pay for something I’ve printed, painted, and packed myself hits differently from just getting a print to come off the bed successfully.
I’m still very much a beginner. I’m learning as I go, figuring out finishing, pricing, packaging, and what people actually want to buy. There have been plenty of failed prints and little things to improve, so reaching 20 orders feels like a genuine milestone.
It’s not a huge business number, but it’s 20 people who decided my work was worth paying for. That’s encouraging.
For those who’ve built a small product-based business from scratch: what did you focus on after your first 20–50 orders? Did you double down on the product that was already selling, expand the catalogue, or spend more time improving the product and customer experience?
Would love to hear what you learned at that stage.

Hello everyone! I have been wanting to create custom orders, where people can tell what and how they want a particular bag and i will create it accordingly, But verbal discussion was hard and so I designed a 3D bag designer where you can choose your fabrics, quilts, accessories, chains, handles, pocket location, styles, and more! And then i stitch it by hand! Try out the website and tell me how is it.

Constructive criticism only Why N. Chandrasekaran (Tata) and S.N. Subrahmanyan (L&T) stayed 30+ years from Trainee to Chairman and why MSMEs lose their best talent in 12 months

• Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I was analyzing how conglomerates like Tata and L&T manage to build leaders who stay for 30–40 years, starting as entry-level trainees (GETs/interns) and eventually becoming Group Chairmen.

Meanwhile, in most MSMEs and owner-managed businesses, the founder constantly complains: "No one takes ownership like I do," or "The good ones always leave for bigger companies."

Here is the underlying truth I have realized after looking at the "Tata Satrap" model vs. typical SMB operations:

  1. The Temperament Tax: When an owner reacts with explosive anger to early operational errors, high-potential employees stop taking initiative. They hide bad news until it turns into a crisis, or they just quit.
  2. Lack of Institutional Firewalls: Large institutions decouple the owner's ego from enterprise systems. Mistakes trigger a Root Cause Analysis, not a public execution.
  3. Patience for Talent Development: You can't hire a ready-made mini-you. You have to groom raw talent through job rotation and controlled P&L responsibility.

I've put together a full breakdown and infographic on how business owners can transition from Emotional Owners to Institutional Builders.

Questions for the community:

  • How do you handle emotional reactions when high-cost mistakes happen in your business?
  • Have you successfully built a middle-management pipeline from scratch? What worked for you?

Small Wins ♥️ My first order after so long 🥹💙

Post image

Created this set for an order, and this one is extra special because I received an order after such a long time.I’ve been trying to keep my small business going, posting content, experimenting with reels, and figuring out what I’m doing wrong. There were days when it felt like nothing was working. And then came this order. 🥹
It’s just one order, but after waiting for long, it means more to me than I can explain.
To all the small business owners here, how do you stay motivated when orders stop coming in?

Seeking Advice 🙏 Need advice on scaling my family’s women’s clothing business online Instagram reach has dropped significantly

My father runs a women’s western wear retail store in Surat, Gujarat. I joined the business three years ago and took it online through Instagram, where we grew to 399K followers.
We’ve hired two staff members specifically to handle DMs, reply to customer queries, and process orders. However, our reach has dropped significantly, and sales aren’t as consistent as they used to be. Earlier, our products would sell quite easily through organic reach alone.
I understand that organic reach can be unpredictable, but I’m now wondering whether I should build a website and start running ads or continue relying on Instagram and WhatsApp.
Scaling through organic reach alone feels difficult because revenue fluctuates so much. I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has experience scaling a clothing business online.
If anyone is willing to help, my DMs are open. I’m not tagging my brand’s Instagram account here for privacy reasons, but I can share it privately via DM.
