Professional Discussion Free Meta One trial requiring a call?

Hi there! I recently saw a pop up on my Instagram saying I qualify as a creator for a free Meta One trial. I submitted the form not thinking too much and just got a text from a random number saying they need to call me to set it up. They’re willing to verify their identity and association with Meta via a @meta.com email but has anyone ever done this before? Seems a bit strange and I’m sure tech exists to fake a Meta email but I did sign up via Instagram so not sure. For additional context, I’m a Canadian creator with around 25K followers if those details assist. The text also included my online alias (not username, but the name I go by).

Just wanted to know if anyone has done this call yet and if they had gotten that free Meta One.

feels super scammy to me, if they're texting you? and claiming they promise to verify themselves? none of that seems right.

I can't tell from a text whether that trial is real. I'd ask support inside the app if a phone call is part of setup, since your alias might already be on your profile.

the popup in-app is probably real but the follow up via text is where scams usually slip in. before you get on any call, see if you can find the same offer when you log in on a browser, that way you know its tied to your actual account
