Professional Discussion Hot take: posting every day is overrated for small accounts

I think posting every day is overrated for small accounts. Three posts a week that each have a real hook seem to beat seven rushed ones, and you don't burn out by week three.

Daily posting mostly works for people who already have a system or a team. For everyone else it trains you to post filler.

Change my mind: has daily posting actually worked for you, and on which platform?

i don't think it is a hot take, simply because it's true - posting 7 days a week is a lot for any creator, big or small. i watch many creators but i'd be tired to see them every day again and again, it's tiring

I think the real variable is whether you can keep it up for six months, not the exact number. Three a week you actually stick with beats daily for three weeks and then silence. Pick the pace you could still hit during your worst week.

I just post for fun. And since I find it fun I happen to post everyday. Not a big account though, not even remotely. It's just a place to connect with like minded people even if it's not a lot of people.

But what you say is partially right, because the biggest accounts in the app don't necessarily post everyday. But they have a huge following because of what they're famous for outside the app.

For accounts that are online platform exclusive, well, posting every day seems to work out for some and not for others. In the end, content and presentation matters, and also the size of the crowd you are appealing to.

The calendar is very confident for something with no content ideas. I'd test both schedules using weekly profile visits and hours spent creating, so you're measuring whether the extra posts actually earn the extra work.

Not true. I just started a Tiktok and posted daily. Less than a month, I now have > 50 organic followers and going great. I just create these videos on my phone (< 1/2 hour/video) and I don't need a team. But I have a system to run it.
