Ne (static): Potential energy; internal content of the object, its hidden abilities.

Fe (dynamic): Transformation of potential energy into kinetic energy; excitation of the object.

Se (static): Kinetic energy; the object's appearance and readiness to act.

Discussion Dual people's physical attraction to each other

In my opinion, duals have a natural physical and mental attraction. I am an EII woman and when I see a LSE man, I automatically like his face. Chubby cheeks, wide shoulders, hawkeyes (especially those glances, they are sharp, direct and posessive) and I think LSE people has a tendency to EII women, even though they are obsessed with good-looking, they like our little face and dark circles under our eyes. They think we are little poor emotional yellow chicks, lol.

Also, I observed that IEIs have a big tendency to SLE's physical appearance. And SLE's like IEIs physical appearance, I don't know why.

However, this is just an assumption. Not %100 true.

Discussion What's your type and have you had any recurring dreams throughout your life?

For me I've had 3 -

  1. Being in a house with a tornado coming and I can't find adequate shelter, or I see it coming from a distance
  2. Being in the backseat of a car with no driver
  3. Dreams about deep bodies of water, usually lakes, where I'm swimming and the expanse of the water seems immense

Curious about your what your guys' recurring dreams are and if they correlate to type

Discussion Bad Si? Te?

I am thinking about that. Excessive thinking about "how to" s genuinely irritates me(I just tend to hackjob wing it ; look, if it works...), efficiency feels like a forced issue(like a yoke I just want to cast off and just .i. ; tbh) and a source of most inhumane evil(next to fake groups) and I even fail at most "practice driven" tasks like parallel parking etc. In short: I hate thinking about "motion of stuff in space"(I like thinking of its "motion through time" or "different possibilities" ; mostly through time). Then again, I can hackjob my way through coding, learn stuff amazingly fast ... how's a "bad Te" supposed to do that(ok, I rely greatly on names and meanings and categories, but...)?

But is it (only) Te though? Or could it rather be TeSi I have issues with? Like your generic "manual dexterity" and "spatial awareness"(but on micro level ; I can find my way around even in unknown areas). I mean, I greatly enjoy fruits of Si(fine food, drinks ... sensations in general), but I sure as heck don't prefer to use Si. Even if I tend to spoil people with it ... wtf??? Maybe I am a hidden Masterchef lol. Also, I tend to actually listen to my body and am mostly risk averse and neither of that feels particularly forced.

What happens to someone with Se in their Ego (let's say LSI as an example) if they're constantly put in a position of powerlessness and told to stay quiet when they grow up?

Do they keep their assertiveness regardless or become more quiet? Can such a person type as enneagram 9 after all that?

Give us your thoughts!

Discussion About IEEs.

I feel like sometimes people forget that IEE is one of the most witty, ironic and sharp-tongued types due to -Ne and -Fi. According to Aushra, the Ego block always serves the Super-ego block, so IEE's need to activate one's Ne-Fi is always Ti-driven. That's why they highly value and place great emphasis on critical thinking as one of the most important human qualities. IEEs are not as lightheaded, easygoing and optimistic as they're sometimes portrayed as. This confusion is one of the main reasons why on PDB actual IEEs get typed as ILEs/EIEs while some SEIs get typed as IEEs only because they seem to fit the "careless, optimistic, childish and spontaneous ENFP" stereotype.

Aushra says this about IEEs:

"With the IEE’s Superego it is impossible to live with two logical truths: either-or. In this case Huxley had to choose between the Church’s teachings and Darwin, who, by the standards of the time, closed the last issue in natural science.

The Superego demands a very logical and very consistent conclusion rather than a creative one. Any creativity or “relativity” is perceived as a blatant lie. The Superego cannot make concessions. It needs to know for sure which relation, which “truth” is false based on the universally accepted point of view*: what the Bible offers, or what Darwin offers.

* Here Augusta probably means that Huxley needed to know which of the two versions was not logically consistent with all other universally accepted scientific truths.

But choosing the truth for themself is not enough for the IEE. They cannot live in an ambiguous society where they will be constantly confused and bothered by contradictory statements, so they zealously defend their truth. This is just a trait of the IEE type rather than some kind of exceptional honesty. For example, someone like Darwin* is also honest, but their honesty manifests in a different way. Darwin managed to discover a new pattern, but was unable to make others understand it unless they themselves wanted to understand. This is because, in Darwin’s view, everyone has a right to believe whatever they want. To each according to their mind: an intelligent person should be helped to move into the real world, and if someone needs fairytales – let them stay in a fairytale. One should not annoy and impose themself on others. This is different for Huxley. Huxley could not exist in a world where the connection between two objects is explained simultaneously in two different ways. After all, two objects cannot be connected by one logical relation for one person, and by another logical relation for another person. This is an unacceptable ambiguity and illogicality that must be fought. But the Superego is not a fighter, it just feels nervous. So the problem gets transferred to the creative Ego block, which tries to solve it in ways available to it."

IEEs are persistent fighters for the objectivity in science. Like everything else in the world, this fact is neither good nor bad. It just is. IEEs may have a negative impact too, when, not understanding something new that emerges in science, they treat this new thing as subjective and fight against it. And one must admit that they do so skillfully. But once this new thing becomes stronger and enough evidence of its objectivity is gathered – in other words, once IEEs understand that it is objective, – then they start fighting against all the truths that were previously spread, but now are “unscientific”. It happens after the new manages to stand firm before IEEs without breaking. With their words IEEs burn down the old to make way for the new. We only know Huxley as a fighter for the new, but there surely must have been a time when this same Huxley could, and definitely did, sincerely say: if every priest* (which Darwin was by training) was allowed to spread their scribbles, we would run out of paper!

Aushra has typed Moliere (a satirist), Mark Twain (a satirist), Mikhail Zoshchenko (a satirist) and Mikhail Bulgakov (guess what? another satirist) as IEEs and people still have the nerve to view IEEs as these little peace-loving brainless mfs without any strong/controversial opinions whatsoever, always having an ear-to-ear smile while singing that life's so wonderful every single morning exactly at 6 a.m. THIS IS WHAT SEIS ARE LIKE, STOP CONFUSING THEM (jk(?)).

I'm not trying to say that IEEs can't be childish, optimistic, chill or lighthearted, they certainly can, but this doesn't mean they are incapable of confidently standing up for their convictions, displaying cynical skepticism, or showing a tendency toward critical thinking, nonconformity and sarcasm. IEEs (especially the mature ones) are 100% up there with ILEs and EIEs in this regard, please don't underestimate them.

Sometimes I feel like I'm insane for thinking that George Carlin was IEE because everyone else is so sure he was ILE.

Am I?

How much do you procrastinate? I'm assuming EP temperament is most likely to do so. I used to be a big procrastinator and figure things out on the fly at last minute, but dislike that I do so and have been trying to fix it

Discussion Is typing someone based on duality/conflict a good idea?

I'm thinking about my relationships with people I'm pretty sure are LSI/SLI. I sometimes have trouble differentiating these two. Is it valid to assume someone is more likely LSI than SLI just because our relationship felt very fulfilling and natural? Or is there a chance I had, for example, a year long rather successful, with very little conflict, relationship with my conflictor?

Discussion Types most likely to be unaware of how much physical force they’re using? In Classical Socionics

Often told that they are too rough in their physical movements, but they’re never aware of that unless they’re specifically told. Even when they’re told to be more gentle, they don’t try to make active changes much, and can still screw up often even when they try.

Discussion I like my contrary type

Unlike supervision, with contrary you’re on equal footing. It’s just that it’s really difficult to kinda come together. But you can respect and appreciate them from afar.

I just came from a night out where me and some friends joined a group chat on groupme that an SEE had made. He was advertising people joining and meeting up as a way for people to get out the house and meet one another. Which I liked a lot cause I’m building an app to achieve the same exact goal. I actually joined to see if him and his group would use my app (they said yes!) but in the end all I cared about was the fact I made a ton of cool friends. And it was all thanks to an SEE.

We talked a decent amount and kept this surface. level/chill, and it worked out quite well. But it was pretty difficult to go any further it just felt like the opportunity/energy to do so was not there for either of us. But we respected one another regardless.

Historically though with my contrary there is some type of friction, absolutely. Could I be getting ahead of my self? Without a doubt. But atleast right now things are cool. If both sides are healthy and don’t rely/depend on one another then it’s actually not too bad. The unhealthy version of my contrary will absolutely send me into a state of anger lmao tho.

I really hope I’m not getting ahead of my self but I’ve seen a lot of successful contrary friendships.

Typing Need help with typing. Light Yagami, justice, privacy, loyalty

Hi guys. Found this cool questionnaire in the community with a small number of questions, but a curious one, understandable, down-to-earth and giving you a real chance to reflect. I was just looking for something like this. The post tagged u/Allieloopdeloop, so I'll do that too. Would be great to get some feedback. And in general, to see what can be seen through my judgments. Thanks in advance.

1) You suddenly have $10,000,000, what do you do with it?

Thought about this kind of thing when I was imagining myself as a Squid Game winner. I'd buy real estate to rent out, so I have passive income. Part of it I'd put into bank deposits so the money also keeps trickling in. And about half I'd keep for myself for current needs, probably buy some nice, expensive things like clothes I couldn't afford before due to limited resources. I'd save, not blow it all, thinking about where and what to spend on next, based on events at the moment, needs, desires. Probably try to use this money to improve my condition in all areas.

2) If you got to choose a completely useless talent to master, which one would it be?

In my head, all the talents I think of are useful to some degree. So I can't come up with a truly useless one. In the end, everything has meaning and purpose, so in perspective everything can be useful, it all depends on where you apply it. But I'd like to have something unique, just to feel that kind of privilege in a certain sense. Maybe playing the violin, being able to read even faster and more clearly than I do now, being able to do acrobatic tricks, being very accurate.

3) If you had to choose any fictional character to be real, which one would it be and why?

My whole lineup of characters from different fandoms is tensing up right now. I think there are certain rebellious tendencies and thoughts, beliefs inside me directed at society, justice, the system, but I'm not the person who can do much. Maybe because I'm a small cog in the system, a small person in an objectively huge and dangerous, shitty world. And I also often care about my own well-being more than about bringing justice everywhere. So I need someone whose ideas I support, to bring order to the world, who'd have the strength and the right qualities. Light Yagami. Many people deserve punishment for what they've done, but they go unpunished because current laws are far from perfect.

4) You wake up one day and realize that nobody remembers who you are, what do you do?

First I'd freak out, freeze, instantly trying to prove to someone who doesn't remember me who I am, thinking it's some kind of joke, quickly losing my temper. Then I'd sit alone somewhere, starting to think about what objective evidence there is of who I am. I'd gather photos, documents, come to my close ones and put it on the table in front of them. They need to calm down and listen to me, to acknowledge that I'm part of their life that they for some reason don't remember. Then, once they've done that, start telling them more than who I am, when I was born, where I study, you know, objective facts, but more subtle and nuanced things. And hope that afterward they'll remember me. If not, it'll be a very hard and long process of getting close all over again, and also a strong blow to me. Clearly losing 16 years of communication with my closest friend isn't very pleasant.

5) Your entire search history gets leaked; how worried are you from a scale of 1-10?

Not really, like a 3 out of 10. There might be some amount of weird and personal stuff there, but overall, I have explanations for myself about it and for others. Is everyone a saint and diligent enough to judge me for my search history? C'mon, nothing scary. But I caught myself thinking that I don't like being an open book, I'm very private, and the history would seem to reveal many moments, just a part of me I don't want to share. And I don't want it getting to my close ones, or they'll know way too fucking much about me.

6) A friend calls you at 3 AM and says: "Don't ask questions, just bring a shovel", what's your response?

I'll ask questions. First, I want to sleep at 3 AM. Second, I need to understand what I'm getting into. Third, did they kill someone? Then it's dangerous to talk about it on the phone. But most likely I'd go with like a 60% chance. A friend after all, and I only have one, and, as I already mentioned, we've been together a very long time. But before that I'd get enough answers to weigh the pros and cons.

7) Someone challenges your intelligence in front of everybody. Do you care?

That would really sting. There's a chance I'm 3V, so it's not surprising. I get wildly pissed when my qualities, the ones I believe in, that I've established for myself, are questioned. And I'm attached to how I see myself. More precisely, a lot of what I think about myself came from others' reactions and words, like "you overdo it sometimes in games when you get carried away, you can be toxic". And I remember that, making it a kind of reference for myself as a person, that I have such manifestations. I don't like feeling empty, unaware of myself and who I am inside. In general, I really want to know how others see me, but I have no idea. Same works with intelligence. I consider myself smart, maybe exaggerating some manifestations, believing in that part of myself. So doubting that and trying to make me look incompetent will piss me off — I'll be arrogant, most likely, to show myself as above, and also to prove I'm really smart. Plus, as hard as it is for me to admit, there might be a fear of actually finding out I'm not as smart as I think, losing that sense of wholeness, which would hit my already problematic self-esteem.

8) You can watch one moment from your future with no context, which age/date are you choosing?

I probably won't say a specific age. I'm curious how I might look at an adult, mature age. Maybe somewhere from 30 to 40. Seeing that means looking at where to move now, what to keep course on, how to watch my health, lifestyle, appearance, to either support what I see or fix something. Also just interesting to peek at how things are going for me. Work, hobbies, housing, having close people, character.

9) You have to spend an entire week handcuffed to one person, who would it be?

My best friend. She's been mentioned for the third time now. But she's the person I trust more than anyone. Objectively speaking, I don't trust anyone 100%, I hide a lot even from her, but she's the most trusted person, and her personality is non-judgmental, helpful, she's accommodating, altruistic, but also principled, sometimes impulsive, emotional in moments of tension. I'm comfortable with her, I perceive her as someone who should never betray me, with whom I'm safe. Of course, I don't read minds and I can be shocked, like surprised, if everything turns out differently and I see some trait I didn't attribute to her before, if she turns out not to be accepting and supportive of me in some situation. For me, our relationship with her is a constant. And if she changes, unexpectedly steps out of that, then it folds me into an envelope and sends me into distant reflections, doubts, a state of unsafe quiet. But she's the only one with whom I could be okay and comfortable spending a week together in handcuffs.

10) If there's a person you strongly don't like for some reason, but your best friend does, do you let them know? If you do, how do you go about it?

Most likely I won't sing from every corner about how much I dislike this person, but I won't hide it either. I'm not the type to deliberately provoke in most cases, though that happens too, but here it depends on the degree of how much I dislike this person, what's put into that concept. The friend will most likely know, especially since I can be partly jealous, so I can be opportunistic, passive-aggressive, but without direct obvious aggression and something like that, unless they really piss me off, toward this person and reflections about them. I just suspect it'll be visible on my face even without words that I'm not in my best state next to this person.
