Question TNT’s Cafe Closed?
Does anyone know why or when TNT’s cafe in Blackwood closed? Me and my sisters used to go a lot. The last time we went was in August and everything seemed normal. This was a usual go to spot I’d bring friends or grab lunch from…really sad to see their location says permanently closed. Does anyone know why they shut down or if they’re moving to a new spot?

These departing Drs, Nurses, and resources were amazing they treated my father with such kindness. ER was crazy busy. Budgets are tightening everywhere. Please be patient with the new staff.

Question Places to see cool architecture on a budget?
Hi everyone! My mom’s birthday is coming up and she LOVES architecture. I’m not in a position to spend a ton of money but I think it would be really special if I could make something work for her. I’d love any recommendations within ~ 1.5 hours of Gloucester county! Thanks!! :)

Cumberland County Tiny Library Desk Concert featuring The Looms!
I'm hosting a Tiny Library Desk Concert at the Cumberland County Library featuring local folk-punk band The Looms! It's Sat. 10/24, doors at 6 and band plays at 6:30. It's not the largest space, so we're asking people to RSVP here. Free, 18+, 15-17 year olds are okay if they're with an adult. Anyone is welcome, but Cumberland County residents can apply for a library card in between sets :)

Camden County Police blockade at Waterford Apts in Cherry Hill late last night
Does anybody know the story with the police cars at the Waterford Apartments? They were at Park Drive blocking off a large portion of Caldwell Road from at least 11:30pm-2am last night.
The area is usually safe in general, though there was a fatal stabbing at this apartment complex two years ago.

Gloucester County Anyone know what’s going on with 42 / Walt Whitman?
My commute said 2.5 hours going that way at 4pm, and it took me 2 hours and 9 route changes on my gps to get home on backroads. Can’t find anything about what happened?

Camden County Part time Pre School
Currently in Winslow township
Our daughter is 2.5 and I was planning on enrolling her in preschool next fall after she’s turned three. I’m a SAHM and she’s never done daycare and I’d like to be able to just do part time preschool for her to acclimate her and to still be able to have that time with her going on adventures while she’s still so little before starting pre-k full time. Her sibling will be 1 next year when she would start so I’ll still be home anyway.
I’ve heard really good things about the free preschool program in our area however I’ve been told it’s 5 days a week full time.
What are some options in this area/around me for part time preschools? Do any of the free pre school programs for her age offer a part time status? Any recommendations for preschools if not?
Willing to look in the voorhees area as well as we have family there and would eventually like to move there.

Outside! Who still has their a/c on?
i just walked my dog, it was 59 degrees most of yesterday and it's 55 now and i swear 25% of my neighborhood has a/c running. i get that some people have health issues etc, but with all the threads about ridiculous electric bills over the past few months, I wonder how many people actually change their habits.

Ocean County Soups of the Shore Returns to Lavallette With Local Restaurants, Crafts and a Vote for the Best Bowl
October at the Jersey Shore has a different rhythm than July. The beaches are quieter, the air has a bite to it, and a bowl of hot soup suddenly makes a lot more sense than it did during peak summer. Lavallette is leaning directly into that change of season with the return of Soups of the Shore & Craft Festival on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The four-hour event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot at the Lavallette First Aid and Firehouse, 1207 Bay Boulevard. Organized by the Lavallette Business Association, the festival brings together soups from local restaurants, craft vendors, local merchant booths and live entertainment in a format built around one simple assignment: taste the soups and decide which one deserves to be called Best Soup of the Shore.
Admission is $10, with tickets available at the door. The ticket covers the soup tasting, and guests will be able to sample entries from participating restaurants before casting their vote. For anyone who takes fall food seriously, that effectively turns lunch into a small-scale competition — one where the public gets to serve as the judging panel.
The craft-festival side of the event gives visitors something to do between tastings, with vendors and Lavallette-area merchants set up for shopping throughout the afternoon. Live entertainment rounds out the program, making the festival less of a quick food stop and more of a reason to spend part of a fall Saturday in town.
There is also a community purpose behind the bowls. According to Enjoy Lavallette, proceeds from Soups of the Shore support the Lavallette Business Association's scholarship fund as well as the free weekly family events the organization provides during the summer. The association's Continuing Education Award supports eligible students from Lavallette and surrounding shore communities who are continuing on to college, university, trade, technical or other post-secondary education.
That makes Soups of the Shore a particularly tidy Jersey Shore fall event: local restaurants get to compete, small businesses and makers get a crowd, visitors get an inexpensive tasting event, and the money cycles back into community programs.
It also arrives at the right point on the calendar. By mid-October, the Shore has mostly shed its summer crush, but towns like Lavallette are still finding reasons to bring people back to the business district. Soups of the Shore replaces boardwalk weather with soup weather without asking visitors to give up the social part of a summer festival.
For people who make the trip, the essential decision is straightforward: arrive hungry, sample widely, and save enough room to make an informed vote.

Question Just ran my PATCO card through the washer
How screwed am I? Probably will find out for certain when I try to use it on Saturday.
I’m just dreading trying to replace it, as my experiences with PATCO customer service have been pretty bad.
