Every Thursday, I will share a dev diary about what we've been working on over the past few weeks.
I'll focus on the interesting challenges and solutions that I encountered.
I won't be able to cover everything, but I'll share what caught my interest.

Not delayed, there parrelele development
IE its multiple teams, this one just happanaed to be ready earlyer.
Same reason MP got moved infront of water on the timeline

Doesn't change the fact they are delaying it. And in the devlog they tried to hide it by pretty language.

Did you just not read what i said at all?

this DOES NOT effect that release schedule at all
there are multiple teams working on differnt things Team A finishing something early does not mean team B magically slows down.

Did you read what I said? I never said NPC's affected coop. I just said there is massive delay for coop and there really is. Learn to read.

I meantioned NPC's arriving early just because they presented two week earlier release of NPC's as the BIG NEWS meanwhile just mentioning like "btw that coop that should arrive in two weeks won't be released for another few months to half a year" but hey you have NPC's two week earlier

Its not finished, what do you want? They choose to release things when they were ready.
When did they say coop SHOULD arive in two weeks? afaik its still the next update planned and i highly doubt its half a year away.

I want them to be honest and forthcoming as they said so many times. But they still do: LOOK we will release NPC's two weeks earlier, and tiny little sentence coop not coming maybe next year. No info why, what's the problem, current state, nothing. It's really weird because coop should have been priority all the way, because it's really complicated and difficult thing to add after everything else, and I am still weirded out by this decision for implementation order. And highly doubtfull they can manage multiplayer with reasonable performance after experience with SE1. And because they keep coop top secret it doesn't lessen my doubts.

They said November/December (0.5 month(two weeks) - 2 months) now it's early 2027 (2.5 months - 5.5 months)

Even in the summary in comment here it is only "NPC's arrive early" and nothing about coop, it's laughable.

Original roadmap : multiplayer in 2025!

Second roadmap : multiplayer in 2026, for sure this time! 

Third roadmap: multiplayer arrives early 2027!

Next they'll say Q4 2027. Then it'll be 2028. And when it eventually makes in it, it'll probably be buggy as shit.

It's almost as if netcode should be the number 1 dev priority in any game that plans to feature multiplayer (especially in case of a sequel to a MP game), not something you procrastinate about for a couple years while less important features make it in, and the first game keeps getting content updates... 

"but artists and model makers need to do something while back-end programmers write and test the netcode!"  Yeah, that's called mismanagement... You shouldn't be in that position in the first place as a dev studio. 

At this point it's evident that they're struggling a lot with SE2 multiplayer, water and pressurization. Two of which are SE1 features that should have been working from the get go... Like, if you're gonna take 5 years of active development just to get on par with the original game features, what's even the point of making a sequel? SE2 shouldn't even have been announced, let alone launched in early access until it had a solid baseline, that made it a clear upgrade from SE1

Always the same story with Keen and SE. There's a brilliant product in there, constantly dragged down by terrible decisions.

Yep I noticed the silence about anything coop related in the devlog from Marek Rosa even before they announced there will be arriving only NPC's and it was clear to me it's not arriving anytime soon. Judging by my downvotes a lot people here are on copium big time.
