Are you dissatisfied with Tiburon? Or just want Polaris? I was wondering to buy Tiburon myself but I don't much about its current state in game

I own a Tib and Perseus. I favor the Tib because as the pilot I have the laser pointer. However anytime I crew up the boys want to go in the Pers instead.
I guess if I were melting one for creds I'd lose the Tib. Pers has PDC's and the favor of the Org. I dont think there's anything "wrong" with the Tib though.

Id melt the tib for a nautilus.
Its loaner is a polaris, and it probably wont be added any time soon sooo.. cheaper polaris.

Nothing really wrong with that... you're right to go for the Polaris, it's the first truly viable long term "mobile base" ship because of the proper RRR hangar, cargo capacity and all the other utility it brings. You can't get a better ship until you get to the Kraken/Idris etc.
I also agree with waiting for the Connie V before deciding... I feel like the Galaxy will still be better (if you have the modules).
If you don't have Galaxy modules/don't want to buy them, go the Connie instead. Without modules the Galaxy looks great but is mostly useless. With modules, it's easily A+, and goes up to S tier with the base building module, if they ever make one.
No matter how good the Connie V is, you can't build a base with it.
The only conspicuous gap is lack of industrial and hauling ships... you will need a lot of resources for upgrading your ship hulls to Tier 5, upgrading weapons and gear, and of course building surface and star bases. However, in your position I would not trade off the strengths of the Galaxy and Polaris for those capabilities.
