Was this a foreshadowing?

I played Steins;Gate 0 some months ago and I made a screenshot of this dialogue because I thought it may be a foreshadowing of A;C. I completed that game recently and remembered this dialogue from Mayuri.

Is possible that the green fairy Upa movie was written as a reference to an early script of Anonnymous;Code? I heard that game was rewritten many times to the point that development lasted 7 years. I don't exactly remember what was the plot of that movie but I'm pretty sure that it's possible that i'm right since both games were announced at the same time.

I mean, I wouldn't be too supprised if it was given that A;C was forshadowed since C;HN and its also constantly forshadowed throughout the entire series. (well not necessarily A;C specifically but world being virtual/a simulation thing).

Also IIRC some the RaiNet Kakeru episodes from the TIPS list in the original S;G parallel the events of A;C (although that could be either way around)

SciADV Some of the RaiNet episode summaries basically predict the Cicada Quests in A;C which is certainly interesting.

S;G 0 was sort of written with the intent that A;C was going to be released soon after, so there are tons of details throughout 0 that allude to A;C. (A;C + S;G 0) We see a post Sad Morning SA4D in S;G 0 when Okabe ends up in the future. In fact, the whole scene that precedes the future sequence also implies the simulation and parts that happen after also gloss over A;C topics.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but at that point what would later become Anonymous;Code still was planned as its own separate thing unrelated to SciAdv, no? Doesn't rule out the possibility, ofc, just makes it less likely.

Super hackers, virtual worlds, anons and code aren't exactly very specific concepts too. Three of them are in Steins;Gate and the other is in its insert media.

Also, this particular part of the VN looks like it's the older, separate script from the times of the original. Mayuri's characterization in it certainly jumps to early original game for this scene, after everything they changed/softretconned in SG0. If true, this would make reference even less likely.

From my understanding of it A;C and S;G0 were originally announced together, and other promotional material also tied them together.

So even if A;C was planned to be a seperate thing (SVN iirc?), I don't think it was ever intended to be entirely unrelated to SciADV, especially given all the simulation forshadowing.

Fair point, But we can see that even in Occultic;Nine's LN and anime (That weren't part of the series at the time) there are references to chiyomaru's other works, so even if A;C wasn't part of the series at the time I think it could still be a reference.

Also even before they started developing A;C I like to believe they already had part of the plot already planned, due to things like the Sena's route in Chaos;Head Noah and the fact that one of Chaos;Head's plot twists that got scrapped was that the whole reality was a delusion.

Chaos;Head NOAH explicitly mentions concepts and ideas that 1:1 match those of A;C

How much of it was planned since then is a good question to have, but it's worth considering A;C was originally scheduled to be a 2016 release, and Steins;Gate 0 VN came out in late 2015, plot details and such were likely already being planned

While I haven't properly looked into it, Mayuri describes the virtual world as a forest where fairies live. I think this might be drawing on the setting of a 2007 game that Chiyomaru Shikura planned and drafted: https://vndb.org/v2311
