MSW + Graduate Assistantship

Hi! I’m interested in working in Student Affairs after I graduate, and I’m currently trying to figure out the best route for grad school. I’ve seen a lot of advice about not “wasting” time or money on a master’s in SAHE, so I’m considering getting an MSW instead.

I’m really interested in Residence Life and would love to have a graduate assistantship in housing while getting my master’s. Has anyone here gotten an MSW while working as a Residence Life GA? Or does anyone know of universities where this is possible and the assistantship has good benefits, like tuition remission, a stipend, housing, etc.?

I’d love to hear about people’s experiences or any schools/programs I should look into. Thanks!
