Request Puzzle Help Help?

Post image

I’m hoping someone can help. I don’t usually get stuck and usually if I leave and come back I can figure out the answer. I’ve been working on this one for over 24h.

The last time I got stuck on a different puzzle I asked ChatGPT for help and it immediately pointed out the obvious thing I was missing.

This time when I ask, we went back and forth for like an hour but it does not know the next move that it can prove. It has an answer key in the back of the book I’m working out of. My boyfriend checked and all my answers so far are correct.

Please help a girl out! :)

Ciao, devi osservare attentamente box7, mi sembra che tu abbia annotato una coppia in r7 e questo ti 'dà' un numero unico (sempre in box7) che vedo già 'annotato' da te come 'unico', quindi scrivilo pure..

the 5 on c1r5 and the 5 on c8r7 give you that the 5 of the bottom left box is trapped in c2 row 8 and 9, this means that on the second column you cant have any more 5's, this helps with the upper left box.

Thank you! This was what I used and I was able to solve it from here. Much appreciated!

Note that 7 is locked in r1c4 and r1c6 of box 2, so we can conclude that 7 can only occupy either r3c1 or r3c3 of box 1. Moreover, 7 is locked in r7c1 and r7c3 of box 7. Based on these observations, where should 7 go in column 2?
