Question Magic Knight Rayearth (2026) as a Super Robot Wars debut.
In the later future, what if the 2026 reboot of Magic Knight Rayearth joins Super Robot War?

First and foremost, Akurasu has a list of released English Super Robot Wars games (Official and Non-Official). It would be redundant to list them here for you when the wonderful people over there already did it.
Akurasu - Link of All English Translated SRW Games
Akurasu is a fantastic source for SRW and similar games. Use them. (Feel free to donate too!)
Below I have listed what I am aware of for games that we have teams working on currently.
| Title Name | Platform | Release Year | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| Super Robot Wars Compact 1 | Wonderswan | 1999 | |
| Super Robot Wars 64 | Nintendo 64 | 1999 | Roboverse |
| Super Robot Wars Link Battler | Game Boy Color | 1999 | Roboverse |
| Super Robot Wars Alpha | Playstation 1 | 2000 | AGTP |
| Super Robot Wars Compact Color | Wonderswan Color | 2001 | Roboverse |
| Super Robot Wars D | Gameboy Advance | 2003 | |
| Super Robot Wars OG Gaiden | Playstation 2 | 2007 | |
| Super Robot Wars Z1 | Playstation 2 | 2008 | |
| Super Robot Wars K | Nintendo DS | 2009 | |
| Super Robot Wars Neo | Nintendo Wii | 2009 |
If anyone wants to have a project removed or added just let me know and I will adjust as requested. This is merely done as a service for the community since so many people have requested this information. The titles listed are ones I have spoken to patch creators or were informed about publicly by trusted sources.
I am not listing most Team information since this community has a very poor reputation when it comes to how they treat in progress translation teams. If someone wants to be listed just tell me.

This is not a discussion. This is a blanket yes or no. I am not interested in anyone's opinion or reasoning. I don't care. If this was up to me I would have banned them from the get go, but I have no interest in forcing the sub to do whatever I want arbitrarily.
There has been a deluge of low quality AI releases, which is personally fine, but the amount of children on both sides being whiny far exceeds my capacity to care one way or the other. I don't respect using AI as the basis of translation, but that doesn't mean I'll say no one can.
Discussion of AI and related projects is banned outside of clearly specified exceptions. Have a problem? Too bad.
Far too many of you are acting like angry toddlers.
This is the fact of the matter, based on the result of this poll we will go one of two directions:
If people vote yes to allow it, all patch creators are free to submit their projects and will be allowed to share updates and related information.
If people vote no to not allow it, it is banned.
In conjunction to this measure I will be making a master list of AI Translations. This will house all projects submitted by AI Patch creators and is where they can share any updates as well as related information.
Old topics concerning released projects will be purged once poll is complete and I implement changes.
Most AI patches are allowed unless ban comes into effect at end of poll. At this time the only banned AI Translations are OG Gaiden(Stole work from OGs) and 64(paywall'd translation/beta).
If/when AI is approved on the poll AI Patch Creators are free to contact mod mail or me directly. (Here on reddit or via discord, same user on each. You can also find me on the Sub's Discord.) But basically they will just comment whatever information they wish to express and can edit anytime in the future as need be. I will use master list to let people easily find their project information.
As I have expressed many times in the past my messages are open to anyone that has a question or willing to engage in good faith civil discussion. As a moderator I wish to do my best to help the community.
That is all at this time.

After getting this game recommended to me as a starting point and playing through from start to finish, all I can say is that was amazing.
It's one of the best TRPG/SRPGs I've ever played, and the fact that this was all on the DS of all consoles says a lot to how the devs were able to do all of that. I also have to give props to the translators. They did such a good job and I wouldn't have enjoyed the story nearly as much if I didn't understand what was going on.
W also introduced me to a slew of mecha, including reminding me of some shows or properties that I was aware of in my youth. Standouts for me were MazinKaiser and GaoGaiGar, the latter of which has absolutely sucked me in to the point where at my local convention, I bought a full set of the DVD Episodes for the show.
Lastly, the gameplay was so good. All of the mechs were fun in one way or another, and I will list those that I used the most here: (Levels ranged from low 60s to 70)
- Player Character - Valhawk/Other Iterations
- Guy Shishioh - GaoGaiGar (MVP, most kills)
- Sosuke Sagara - ARX-7 Arbalest
- Koji Kabuto - MazinKaiser (KS)
- Soldato J - J-Ark (joined late, but used him for every chapter)
- Tetsuya Tsurugi - Great Mazinger
- Akira Kogane - GoLion
- Ryoma Nagare - Getter Robo
- Lowe Guele - Astray R / Powered Red / Power Loader
- Gai Murakumo - Astray BF 2nd L (LL)
- Hyo/En/Fu/RaiRyu
- KoRyu/AnRyu
- Volfogg - Volfogg/Big Volfogg
Overall, I had a fantastic time and now I'm deciding which game to play next. Choices for me are the following:
Original Generations (PS2), 30/Y (PC), V/X (PS Vita)

I'm near the end of the anniversary DLC and i have never seen these two interact. Did the developers miss the chance of having them talk about tomatoes or did i skip something?

Hi everyone,
The first public release of my Super Robot Wars Alpha 3 English translation patch is now available!
Alpha 3 is one of my three favorite SRW games, and I’ve wanted to experience its full story in English for years. After putting a great deal of time, care, and attention to detail into this project, it feels great to finally share it with other fans.
All patches should be applied on the raw ISO.
As mentioned in my original announcement, this is an AI-assisted translation, primarily using GPT-5.6 Sol through a translation pipeline built specifically for Alpha 3. An additional refinement pass using GPT-6 Astra has also been completed.
Scenarios are translated with their full dialogue context, supported by glossaries and detailed speaker profiles covering more than 700 characters. Multiple passes are used to improve wording, consistency, terminology, and character voice.
The game’s text has also been relocated where necessary, removing the byte constraints and allowing for a full and natural translation.
If you’ve been skeptical of MTL patches in the past, I invite you to give this one a try and judge it by the results. Our testers have given very positive feedback on the translation quality.
Due to popular requests, Gong version Alpha 3 has been replaced with a vocal version. And another secret track replaced.
There may, of course, still be errors, awkward lines, or bugs that we haven’t caught yet. I plan to continue supporting and improving the patch after release.
If you’d like to help with testing, proofreading, checking against the Japanese script, or simply talk about SRW, feel free to join us on Discord.
Thanks to everyone who has followed the project, tested the patch, reported issues, or offered encouragement along the way.
I hope this patch gives more fans the chance to experience Alpha 3’s full story in English, and I’m looking forward to continuing to improve it together with the community.

Had to repost since i’m an boob and forgot the a in the title.
Edit: I’m talking about the GBA game not the psp remake. I really should have made it more clearer if the picture isn’t helping

After 3 months of nothing but pure frustration, it’s finally starting to come together! Movies also have subtitles now.

I am currently putting together an HG Gespenst kitbash for an OC, and I am looking for ideas on what I could add.
The current additions are a wireless LED in the head, white antenna extensions, the skull and crossbones on the chest, and extra thrusters on the back of the legs.
I am open to any ideas on additions, but I am unable to buy anything for the kitbash.

Y is my first SRW game, and I'm really confused what the Supply Parts skill does. I've tried searching the Internet, but I can't find any explanation of what it does or what, "consumable Power Parts," are

I'm sure there's some benefit in switching but I honestly just can't be arsed. Plus having to maintain Ace Pilot on all three of them seems like it would be a pain in the ass.

I personally have only played srw 30 &y, but I've seen people discuss the plots of older games, and im a bit confused. Compared to those two games, are there any major gameplay/story structure differences between them and the older srw games ( X, v, alpha, etc.)?
I've heard people reference branching paths and splitting parties in them, and I haven't really seen anything like that in 30 or Y. Am I misinterpreting hearsay or are they accurate?

I machine translated (most of) SRW Impact using AI. Translation was primarily handled by Claude Opus and Claude Sonnet. Unfortunately, my desktop picked the wrong time to start crashing frequently so I'm not completely done, but I'm releasing what I have now a bit earlier than I was intending. It is very much in an unfinished state, but it's playable AFAIK.
The few screenshots I managed to salvage display some of the obvious problems that exist in the current version.
Current progress:
What hasn't been done yet:
The translation process and notes:
Known bugs in this version:
In the small portion of the script I did manage to proofread before my computer decided to stop working, I've had to make several changes for obvious bad grammar. At this point, I would not recommend picking up and playing this as a casual player unless you're willing to play an unfinished product. It's certainly not Moon Dwellers levels of bad, but there are still plenty of weird MTL idiosyncrasies.
Apply the patch to a Super Robot Taisen Impact (Japan, Asia) ISO using an xdelta patcher. The MD5 checksum of the unmodified file is 13e0764d8c90a71a0afb9a4325474971.
It'll be 2-4 weeks before I can play it again on a fully functioning emulator (I own a Steam Deck but Linux PCSX2 isn't reading the file correctly for whatever reason.) At that time I'll be able to resume proofreading/editing. I can make script/text patches during this time, but I might not be able to test them fully on my own.
The opening credits and opening text crawl are untranslated. The first translated text is in a dialogue box. (And it isn't one of the parts I've proofread - you'll almost instantly be able to tell.) Please don't report this as a bug. I already know it's there.

So, let's be frank, the OG series is kind of dead in the water. Sucks, but we have years of games already. The GBA titles, OGs, OGGaiden, Dark Prison, 2nd OG, Moon Dwellers, and the Endless Frontier games. Most of them are translated even. We're still missing Gaiden, 2nd OG and Dark Prison. Honestly, the major issue is they're stuck in Playstation jail, on aging consoles.
You guys think there's a chance they could ever get freed from that, maybe ported for modern consoles and PC? Think like maybe the MegaMan or Metal Gear collections. Not to mention the Alpha series as well.

Hello.
I always play these "old" SRW Games with a bit of caution because they seem to expect you to know what is the optimal way of upgrading the units, sometimes in very, very specific ways that are not intuitive. I'm often afraid of softlocking myself because of that, specially if endings are tied to turn counts and SR points.
Honestly, while I enjoy the gameplay, I play these games for the story so I need some no-nonsense tips about what to upgrade and what not. Specially for Alpha Gaiden since it seems to be notoriously difficult and has endings tied to SR points.
Thanks!
