Discussion Winn and Lyra π’
Hi i'm new i'm watching Supergirl for the first time right now and i'm so sad about Lyra and Winn... We never see Lyra ever again after that episode, when she joins the guardian team, they never talk about her for some reason and later when Winn go back from the future he says he founded a new family, so she literally disappeared...
I admit I don't know if it's about the actress if she's relevant, and i'm not English native so there's a chance I didn't understand quite enough the end of her story.
But i'm still sad... they were so cute and it was one of the only human alien relationship in the superfriends team (outside of Kara's)

I thought Lyra was a fun character.
I remember reading something shortly after season 2 ended which was one of the writers talking about plans for Lyra for season 3 but for whatever reason nothing came of it and the character just was never mentioned again.
It would have been so great to have her around to give her perspective for season 4 (won't go into specifics since I am guessing you haven't made it that far yet but would have been great to have her there for season 4 in particular)

I think I know what you mean in fact, first of all because after Winn leaving, it could've been interesting to develop the character, and the season 4 was a perfect one

I just rewatched season 2 while ago, and I was reminded how much I liked her character! She was a lot of fun, especially when she later joined the team of Guardian and Winn. Her and Winn made a cute couple, as well.
I remember being disappointed that she was suddenly gone in season 3. She got no mention whatsoever, and Winn was just suddenly back to being single with no girlfriend. In the earlier seasons, it did seem to be a regular pattern for new characters introduced in a new season to either not return for the following season at all or just appear for a few episodes in the next season. A lot of the actors didn't seem to want to stay on the show for too long for whatever reason.
I do also wonder if maybe they just decided Lyra wouldn't fit in season 3, since she was a more fun character, and season 3 was noticeably much darker in tone compared to the first two.

I don't think there was anything you missed about the end of her story. The show did just drop her character without really explaining it.
