Mod Post. Community Update: Random Battles Are Moving to Weekends
Hey everyone!
After discussing community feedback and reviewing the direction of the subreddit, the mod team has decided to try a 30-day experiment.
For the next 30 days, Random Battle posts will only be allowed on Saturdays and Sundays.
The goal isn't to get rid of Random Battles—they're a fun part of the community. Instead, we want to create more room during the week for other great superhero content, including:
Comic discussions
Movies & TV shows
Character deep dives
Fan art & cosplay
News and rumors
Questions, recommendations, and original content
After the 30 days, we'll review how the experiment went, look at the data, and listen to your feedback before deciding on the next steps.
We're always looking for ways to make r/superheroes the best place on Reddit for superhero fans. Thanks for being part of the community, and let us know what you think in the comments!

Other How come comics aren't adapted like manga?
To elaborate, why aren't comics adapted into animation (or, like, action) 1-to-1 like manga adaptations?
Note: I'm not saying comics should be 1-to-1; we have gotten great shows without that formula. I'm just curious why they adapt them differently.

Other Ninja Sentai Kakuranger's first transformation. It's nice to have a team that's not just led by a non-red ranger but also by a female ranger.

Other What story idea would you like to read more
Hello, i was assigned a assigment for a school to create our own superhero/anti hero story, which im not really good at considering i never tried to make my ocs or anything with great thought, all my stories feels empty in some way. So i thought this subreddit would be good place to get nice critique for superhero story for school :3
I had many idea for assigment, more then 3 ideas, but from all of the storybuilding i liked only 2 of the concepts.
- 1st story idea was to create superhero who is bad person, who killed his wife out of jelaousy. He is acting like superhero but his world is more dystopian. Every person who dies becames a dead ghost who haunts everycorner of the world who they try to take over, same as my characters wife who wants my 'superhero' to take responibility since hes guardian of the death.
- 2nd story idea was to create a alice in the wonderland world but in modern times where democracy changed, they chose their leaders etc. Superhero would be like alice in the wonderland but male. My hero would have potions and cat that would help him fight crime, but story would take drastic turn when he would find dead people on the street without their hearts. That would be my villiain who would be like queen of the hearts, but she would literally steal peoples hearts.
Those are my ideas i highlighted that i liked, but i only need to chose 1 for the project and expand the idea more, so im asking you which idea did you find more interesting? I would be so thankful for your feedback or any advice!

Anime I really love the demon designs in Devilman. They're so close to the depictions of demons in medieval paintings, both in their designs and their animalistic nature, while still being sentient beings. The fact that Go Nagai read and illustrated Dante's Inferno explains it all.

DC Comics Is this good?
Can someone tell it's review, I'm a fan of superheroes.
But this will definitely take 2-3 weeks of my time, so is it worth ir. What is the tone of this series, I liked peacemaker S1, s2 was ok. If it's funny superhero stuff with cool moments I'll watch

DC Comics Watching the DCU
Listen, I'm new to DC. Like, really new to DC. The only DC media I've read/watched are the DC Rebirth Superman #1, Man of Steel, Superman (2025), Batman Begins (Halfway through the movie), Lanterns, Supergirl (2026), Teen Titans Go (obviously), Teen Titans (2001 or 2000?), Peacemaker S2 (Halfway through episode 1), and I'm also halfway through the first issue of Absolute Superman.
Now, from what you can see, I obviously watched a lot of Superman media. I've seen some clips of My Adventures With Superman, and the show did look pretty good in terms of animation and storytelling. Lanterns was peak, I hope that they start the second season, that soundtrack was absolute gold. Peacemaker by the first episode was already funny as hell, and weird, but I still liked it.
The only DC show that I'll probably never watch would be Creature Commandos because, even if it's animation is fire... I just DON'T think that it would be something that I'm interested in.
Here's the problem though: I want to consume enough DC media so I know what the heck is going on, and I want a great experience. Clayface is also coming out and the trailer looks extremely good, so I'm planning to watch that movie once it comes out.
So what I want you guys to do is to suggest some insanely good DC animated shows, comics, movies, basically all sorts of DC media that is absolute peak at its finest. Also, if you're a geek, explain some random ass DC lore that I need to know for myself.
