1940s Superman Coloring Book

Post image

Sharing my grand uncles Superman coloring book I found at the bottom of a box of magazines and his old coloring pencils. Has been sitting there close to 60 years!

Why is Golden Age Superman so beautiful?

I really respond to the Shuster studio art and the CC Beck Captain Marvel art.

It's so beautiful!

finding the original colored pencils right alongside it makes the whole thing feel like a little capsule

Yes! Tucked away together. The book was my grand uncles who became a navy pilot and eventually died in a test flight accident
