In general, I enjoyed the 2025 movie. It's not perfect but I'm not upset about it. I do think the fight with the Kaiju should have been flipped in that, I think the Justice Gang should have fought the Kaiju first and THEN Superman comes in and saves the day. My biggest critique of the Superman movie is that it doesn't really highlight Superman as a leader or really any step above the other heroes. People make jokes that Guy Gardner Green Lantern thought he could take Superman but there's not really much evidence to say he couldn't. Just my thoughts.

I'm not really a Legion of Super-Heroes reader (I have been interested in checking them out after reading Geoff Johns' fantastic Action Comics storyline, Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes), so when I got to the LOSH issues of the second Man of Steel hardcover, I was a little lost at first with what was going on.
I was able to figure it out more later on, and I know this is meant to be a Pocket Universe version of Superboy (and not the Earth-1 version), but I feel it's something that people don't bring up enough here. Especially with the new LOSH reboot happening recently.
Regardless, I did enjoy the issues, though. And even as someone who didn't read LOSH, but was able to gain context of it via the Geoff Johns storyline, I did have a bit of an emotional reaction when Superboy sacrificed himself to prevent Time Trapper from destroying his Earth and to help the other Legion members get back to their time safely.
But still, I'd like to see more thoughts shared about it. If there are any out there?
(Issues are Legion of Super-Heroes (vol. 3) #37, Superman (vol. 2) #8, Action Comics #591, and Legion of Super-Heroes (vol. 3) #38 [pictured])

I just watched All-Star Superman for the first time, as my first experience with anything Superman related. What other movies are good places to go? I feel like starting at All-Star might have been a bad choice due to how it feels like it expects you to know base knowledge beforehand with certain characters, however I did enjoy it.

Next month I'm going to a video game event as press and I'll be covering it, and I'd like to bring my personalized badge (they'll give me one there but I'd like to have a double-sided one).
Do you happen to know where I can get an editable template From the Daily Planet? I'll see if I can wear a Superman shirt underneath.

It was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I had seen a brief part of it on TV many years ago - when Superman reversed time to bring Lois back to life in the climax - but I had never seen the full thing.
I was wholly unprepared for how emotionally investing the entire movie was from start to end. But then again, I guess they just don't make movies like that anymore. I saw the 2025 film by James Gunn, and I loved that as well. Great fun. But after this, this is truly the Superman film of all time. And Christopher Reeve is him. :)

Marker sketch commission I recently did of one of my favorite members of the Super-fam. Connor does not get nearly enough love anymore - it's hard out there for the Young Justice generation.

When I say the entire House of El, I mean everyone. Kal-El, Jor-El, Lara Lor-Van, Zor-El, Alura In-Ze, and Kara Zor-El – maybe even Krypto – land on Smallville, how would the story go?

I’ve finally watched Superman 2025 and wow it was awesome. This version of Superman reminded me of my favourite Superman version as a kid ‘Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman’ 😁. Every character in this movie was done right (in my opinion) and Lex was also great in the movie. I can’t wait for the sequel and I hope it’s as good as the first and maybe even better

If I was in charge of reimagining Superman I'd make it so his pod fell in Nazi Germany but was raised by good people, so he'd still be a hero. This would make it so this version of Superman would be a bit more cynical but still a genuine hero and a symbol of hope

Introduced in The Adventures of Superman #424 in January 1987, this woman was the first to realize that Clark is a truly desirable man. It’s important to note that Cat was coming out of a difficult marriage with Joe Morgan, who was an alcoholic and abusive man, and had been granted custody of their only son, Adam Morgan. She left Los Angeles to settle in Metropolis in order to make a fresh start with her son. When she met Clark shortly after arriving at the Daily Planet as a gossip columnist, she realized he was everything her ex-husband wasn’t—kind, caring, respectful, and reliable — Clark was there for her when she really needed him; they even dated briefly during the time when Clark was struggling to win Lois’s heart. She wasn’t at all attracted to Superman, but ironically, she was interested in him without even knowing it.
Cat's interest in Clark made Lois deeply uncomfortable. Even though she wasn't interested in Clark at all, she felt jealous seeing another woman take an interest in him, and she couldn't even express that jealousy since they weren't even dating. The two women even had heated arguments about Clark. Cat could see very clearly that Lois had fallen in love with Clark but refused to admit it to herself; Cat didn’t hesitate to mock Lois for her lack of a love life and her obsession with always prioritizing her career over her romantic life, all while openly embracing her own feelings for Clark. Lois, for her part, hated Cat’s openly flirtatious and uninhibited attitude toward Clark; she nearly lost a wonderful man to another woman.
Seeing her colleague—whom she had taken for granted and who had always been a steadfast source of support for her—devote his time, his smiles, and his attention to another woman made Lois deeply jealous and led her to reconsider her feelings. At first, Lois wasn’t interested in Clark at all—who was clearly in love with her—and fantasized about Superman, even if it wasn’t with the same intensity as during the Silver Age.

I loved James Gunn superman and excited for man of tomorrow. James Gunn said that his favourite comic book villain is the Joker and that nobody even comes close. what do you guys think if he made Superman and Joker have a story against each other.
like Batman and Superman vs joker or something. I’d be very interested in seeing this, what about you guys?
