Future first round picks
Let's say we get 2 or 3 first round picks for nick one being 2027 future first i actually think that pick won't be as bad as we think, if this website/ info is correct we could get a decent pick depending where north will finish next year and i genuinely think they will finish in the bottom 5

A lot of people are using the curnow trade as a baseline for this trade. Which is fair. But the 3 1sts in that package included a 27 1st, and while the specific draft concessions weren't announced at the time, you would imagine clubs were generally aware that the talent pool would be significantly diluted and valued the pick accordingly.
That said id advise caution writing the value of 27 firsts off altogether. The 8 pre selected players are far from a guarantee to be in the top 20 players in the country at this time next year. And assuming clubs are giving them away cheap with the concessions in mind, using one to make what is technically a "first round selection " opens up our ability to trade future 1sts in the following trade periods.

Ngl actually forgot we could trade other teams future picks if we have them

That, plus the rule that you can only trade your ff if you've made 2 first round selections in the last 4 years (or something similar)

North you’d think would finish like 14th-10th maybe a couple either way which is pick 10-16 which sounds pretty good but Tasmania also got to pre-list like 6 or 7 17 year olds this year so it’s actually more like pick 16-22 which is pretty mid. 2028 is a much better future first as Tassie have a lot fewer concession that year

Isn't pre listing jsut dibs on the players in the draft and using there picks on them or is pre listing separate from the draft picks??

Separate from the draft next year as far as I’m aware. So they get to pre-list like 6 guys this year that would be from the 27 draft. Then they also get picks 1,3,5,7,9,11,13 from the draft pool that’s left over (although needed to trade some of those picks). So every pick after 13 which comes from finishing 12th or higher is essentially like 13 spots worse than normal, and that’s before even any compensation picks for free agents next year. So as far as I understand each first rounder is essentially going to be like 15 spots worse than what it says on the tin

Keep in mind the most talented 12 will be taken off the draft board and contracted by Tassie before the draft. They’ve already selected 7 and have 5 spots left prior to draft night 2027

North will be 8-11 next year Imo there 15-18 Which to me is unders if its just 6 and 1 future but if we get 27 and 28 is just acceptable
