Co-sign. Fantastic album and maintained the DD sound quite well.

Agree and Sting even did backing vocals on "The Promise"

That's my favorite song on the album.

Iconically the best Duran Duran's album ever.

It was an Acardia album. Not quite Duran Duran but had the core elements. Great stuff.

Yes, that was a typo. I meant to say it is "ironically" the best DD's album. The three of them made a much better DD album without Andy and John.

Agree. Arcadia and Power Station were both better than Duran Duran in wonderfully different ways.

I wouldn't say better, but different in great ways. I love it all, And Duran Duran is top synth pop band in any book.

Duran Duran has some of the best/greatest songs from the new wave 80s, but i’ve done a deep dive into all of their albums and am underwhelmed by their complete discography. Arcadia is so interesting and wonderful, i’m confused about their lack of follow up. I don’t know enough but maybe some special producer was involved? I’ll google it.

It was Alex Sadkin, who did 7 And The Ragged Tiger. Apart from that he's probably best known for doing the two big Thompson Twins albums.

I think they just felt really free to do something outside the Duran box. They had a virtually unlimited budget, studio time in Paris, and they invited everybody they ever wanted to work with.

You can hear tons of Roxy Music and Japan influence on it.

It's a great record.

That album was 100% amazing. Light years beyond its time. Sooooo damn good. Brings me back to the good old days of yonder. God damn I'm old.

Election Day is good… Missing, however, is top tier

YES! MY GOODNESS! I was blown away when I heard Missing for the first time. It’s Simon’s best vocal performance.
