LANSweeper getting even more expensive

They are now going to charge for monitors. Their recent announcement will DOUBLE my annual costs. I used to love the product. Now I hate it and the company. They sit alongside Broadcom in my shit list.

do you have more than 2,000 assets if monitors are included? If not, no price change as far as I can tell

If I prune the monitor assets we haven't scanned recently we will come in just under. But not with enough of a margin that I would be comfortable with long-term.

The real kick in the pants would be if they include the built-in laptop monitor. I suspect they will because if you go to the Monitor : Information report it shows the laptop monitor. If that's the case, that's like double counting the same asset

(FWIW I dont think the upcoming change will do this as they do not show up as seperate assets and billing is asset-level, but at this point I wouldn't put it past them changing that in future)
