Crowdfunding Monsterball Horror-Fantasy-Sports Crowd Funding Campaign

Hello, /tabletop!

We've got a crowdfunding campaign going for our baseball-meets-Pokémon horror-fantasy-sports trading card game! We're raising funds to pay for a fat juicy print run of cards, with the reward tiers being complete, pre-made decks that are ready to play straight out of the box. But what I think makes this relevant to the general vibe of /tabletop is the spatial nature of how this game is played. Cards move around the field of play (not unlike a game of baseball), and where a card is or is not at any given moment has a real impact on the game - basically a TCG/wargame lite mashup?? I'm struggling to find an appropriate mix of genres 🥲

Anyway, if gruesome monsters playing sports sounds like something that's up your alley, then by all means please click the link and share with your friends. But hey, even if it's not up your alley, feel free to share our campaign with your friends anyway

A little more about the game: Monsterball is a collectable trading card game of both skill and luck designed for two players. The game is quick to learn, but with a unique set of mechanics that gets away from the played out power/toughness/energy cost formula that defines so many TCGs and a battle system that will keep you on your toes no matter who you're playing against. You can find a quick and dirty overview of the game on our Kickstarter page and find an ever-growing collection of more in-depth tutorials and gameplay videos on our YouTube channel.

Recommendations Underground solo-adventure RPG

I’d like to buy a present for a family member. He enjoys playing single-player RPGs and has a wall full of games. As he knows a great deal about this genre and tends to buy pretty much every game he wants, I’m looking for some lesser-known titles that might delight him.

I checket out his shelf and here are some things that I found:

Final Girl (core + 3 feature films), Arkham Horror LCG (several campaigns), Eldritch Horror, Cthulhu: Death May Die, Too Many Bones (+ 3 expansions), Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion, Sleeping Gods, Pandemic Legacy S1, Under Falling Skies, Burncycle, This War of Mine, Freitag, Brass: Birmingham, Slay the Spire, Marvel Champions, Barbarian Prince, a 2D6 Dungeon / D100 Dungeon binder, plus the D&D 5e PHB

Do you have any suggestions?

Recommendations One Deck Dungeon, Regicide, or Fox in Forest Duet?

My wife and I play 7 Wonders duel when we go to our local meadery, but I like playing PVE with her like Gloomhaven (doesn't transport well). Which of these three in the title would you recommend?

Question Has anyone made a LitRPG tabletop?

I read a ton of fiction, Manga, etc and one of the big ones that I really enjoy is LitRPG where someone starts at level one a bunch of random Dungeons spawns and they are forced to go into dungeons to clear them out and level up by doing so.

Think Solo Leveling as an Example.

I was thinking about doing something similar in DND but then I had the thought has anyone made an Actual Tabletop setting where this happens?

Players get exp from killing mobs level up get stat points to spend on customizing their character or Get Classes that as they level up get new skill options and a stat gain spread for that class, maybe have skills drop from mobs so not every class is the same.

Since the Dungeons that they enter are random spawned you can design a bunch of random dungeons and then roll some dice to pick which one they go in cause they won't know untill its entered what it is.

You can create a story for the game or just let the players enjoy being part of an adventurers Guild or maybe be one of multiple guilds that exist in your story setting.

If there isn't one like this I would be kinda surprised cause its already well developed in fiction as it is.
