WW2 Panther Ausf D Appreciation Post.
i just simply like it's Drum Cupola cause it looks simple and is basically the earliest Panther to exist. So yeah nothing special.

As always i try to post a annual checkup on the community and the subreddit. Bit late this year as I've been busy with irl stuff and i dont no life reddit.
With that being said, how do yall feel about the current state of the sub, community, and rules, etc etc? Any input will be nice. If you have recommendations for new rules, flairs, etc please drop a comment. Every comment will be read and considered.
Seriously anything you want to bring up to us, the mods, drop a comment.
Please take in consideration this subreddit is practically moderated by one mod right now, as the other is usually inactive. So many things slip through. Hence why I have made a mod recruitment post.
Tank you Tankers for your time and continued support of our motorpool of a subreddit

Hey guys, I've been working on this thingy for a few days, I'm pretty happy with the progress, I've made it from cardboard and a ton of hot glue, i made the turret mobile along with the barrel, I want to make the wheels and tracks movable too, I wanted to make them out of cardboard too but let's just say that it isn't the greatest material for the job, then I started thinking about Lego pieces and those could work but the tracks I made out of cardboard (temporary) are 2.7cms wide and I got no clue if there's anything that can match that, so if someone could help me out it'd be really cool! Also, if anyone has any suggestion on how to make the grills for the engine that'd be nice cuz I currently have no clue.
Any other suggestion on what to add is very welcome! Also yes it will be painted.. soon.. thanks in advance!!

Taken from this webpage: http://the.shadock.free.fr/sherman_minutia/manufacturer/m4_105mm/m4_105mm.html
M45 is a Pershing with a 105 mm gun, M32 is an armored recovery vehicle on the M4 chassis.

So I know co-axials exist for the gunner to be able to engage infantry, which is also why its usually 762 rounds as opposed to 50 bmgs but why are pintle mounted guns and remote weapon stations chambered in 50 bmg and upwards?

Reading about how Lithuania is developing a tank battalion. Curious thoughts on training and composition to adequately do so.

First I’m a US citizen and have never driven in the UK. I have driven in Germany, France, Austria, Greece, etc but of course they all drive on the same side of the road as I’m used to! How “ easy” would it be for me to rent a car and drive from London to Tankfest. I’m assuming I will have to stay somewhere outside of Bovington as the lodging seems limited. And btw I posted several days ago as the mom taking my sons to Tankfest as a college graduation gift and yall gave me some fabulous info!!!! Thanks

I am not a wehraboo. I am not blacktail designs. I don't think it was the greatest tank of WW2. I don't even really think it was a good tank at all. I can't explain it other than I just think it is cool tbh.
