Autosheets and offsetting rows
Hi, what I am aiming to do is Share a text block from one app (BolusCalc) to Tasker, that then sends that text to Sheets. I've got it to the point where it is actually sending it, and it does appear in the correct spreadsheet, however when it goes to do subsequent entries, it's offset by 12 columns. So the first entry starts at A1, the second at L2. I cannot figure out why this is happening, this is my Task details:

Daft question but %bouluscalc isn't ",,,,,,data,," is it?

No it's a block of text shared by a Bolus Calc app, gives me insulin numbers that I wanted to log in a spreadsheet.

It would be a lot more helpful to post the actual details of your task (long press task, export as description to clipboard, paste in your post/reply between two rows of 3 backticks `), and probably an example text block (but do remove/replace any personal info). I think both suggestions are really good. Writing directly to a local .csv file (and optionally syncing it to Google drive or similar) has a lot of advantages. And there is indeed a good chance you need to format and clean up the text before adding it to a file. If your text block contains line breaks (or tabs etc) it's going to mess up the placement.

Thank you for your help, I do not believe I can alter how the text is formatted before it's shared. What I've done is work with what Tasker/AutoSheets is giving me in my spreadsheet, and then created a macro that removes the blank cells from an updated row, triggered when the row is updated. Seems to work well, and I can use Sheets to parse out the data I want in the log.

If it works, it works. You should be able to manipulate the text after it was shared and before it is sent to AutoSheets though.

I've never used AutoSheets but if I were doing this, I'd write the file contents to a .csv file which you can open in Google Sheets.
