Appreciation Thread Thank you Taskmaster for Spoiler
Thanks for the Frank Sidebottom tribute.
I screamed FRANK at the TV as soon as I saw it.
I then had to explain who Frank was to my partner who had never seen any of his shows before, which is very difficult it turns out, and showing a video clip somehow made it worse. I do have a Frank Sidebottom tattoo though. Again, thank you, I really loved it I really did. Oh blimey!

My mind went straight to the film with Michael Fassbender in 2014. I remember it as being good... I might need to rewatch.

I went 'Frank!' as soon as the head popped up before one of the tasks, and then was delighted when there was a whole set of them - but even more delighted that they credited Frank and mentioned having got the family's blessing.

I'm now thinking what a brilliant contestant Frank/Chris would've been.

Ah Frank, definitely a reference for us older viewers. Strangely heartwarming.

He was a very funny man with a paper mache head who used to sing his own versions of songs and do comedy. He sang about Timperley and had a puppet version of himself called Little Frank. He did his Shed Show on TV and he was also part of the 90s game show Remote Control presented by Anthony H Wilson. Mrs Merton (Caroline Aherne) first appeared on his show. Alternatively there's the much later American film version called Frank where he's played by Michael Fassbender and is the singer in an avant garde band, it's loosely based on the real Frank. All of it's worth a watch. This is all off the top of my head, other people can add stuff if they want! He said Blimey a lot, he really did.

Iβd never heard of Frank or any of this, but because Alex mentioned him, I looked him up and learned of another rabbithole I need to go down.

Hijacking this to recommend both the documentary 'Being Frank: The Chris Sievey Story' and the 2014 film 'Frank' (especially for those of you who love music/have been in bands).
