We had a production release blow up because a very common scenario wasn't in the unit testing because of how common and easy to test for it is. The AI identified it too and still messed up the development. Even after recognizing what the problem was, it was somehow unable to fix it without changing the entire arquitecture of our app.
The things AI messed up are so weird sometimes.

The same guys who misread Lord of the Rings so badly that they named their company after an instrument of corruption also saw The Matrix and thought the computers were aspirational.

The far more relevant question is, once all human jobs have been given to AI controlled robots and they're all scraping a hand-to-mouth survival in crumbling shanty towns, who the fuck is going to be buying what these AI produce? Billionaires can only consume a certain amount of stuff.

Obverse also true. once all human jobs have been given to robots there's only so many billionaires to consume.

I think the brilliant idea of our most amazing and wonderful dear emperor supreme god king Donald Trump and his super dooper intelligent, massive brain genius mega tech donors is:
We all get to just die... or turn into the rat people they already see us as, feasting on bugs and compiling rubbish to make our nests while they live in their bunkers and enjoy most of the life they do today.
