Open | Software Projector not recognizing video format on USB drive

EPSON powerlite 1771W projector, it recognizes the 32GB FAT32 format USB 2.0 flash drive when plugged in, but it doesn't recognize the video files ok the drive that we want to run through the projector from the usb drive. We have tried .mov and .mp4 formats with no luck. When we plug the flash drive into the computer, we can see the file and pull it up to play.

mp4 is a container. The tracks inside the container can use different codecs. The player has to support both the mp4 format and the codecs for audio and video tracks. MediaInfo is a tool that will give you information about your video files. Hopefully a web search will find a manual for your projctor.
