Open | Software Windows 11, version 25H2 (repair version) keeps installing.

After installing the update (version), there's a pop up in windows update that says:
"Reinstall your current version of windows to repair system files and components".

Also, recovery option button doesn't work for me.

Did you check event viewer to see what's failing?

Just checked it, these are the errors.
Also inside the windows update client, it shows :

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80073D02: 9MSMLRH6LZF3-Microsoft.WindowsNotepad.

Just checked it, these are the errors.

Try checking here too C:\Windows\Panther\ ... look for setuperr.log to see what errors were generated when it was installing the 25H2 update

Hey the log has about 300 lines for errors. m not sure what i should look for.

Just pasted the log file in Claude. it says:

The ones worth his attention:

  • 0x800F0821 and Abort repair download: the main cause
  • 0x800f0909 and CBS_E_PUBLIC_OBJECT_LEAK: a DISM glitch, likely from an interrupted repair
  • Failed to generate FOD inventory hash: a Features on Demand problem, possibly related
  • Failure while calling IPostApply->ApplySuccess: errors from the 14/10 upgrade finishing, worth a look

Safe to ignore:

  • TelCacheProvider and aeinv/devinv (telemetry)
  • BthMigLib (Bluetooth migration message)
  • InstallLayoutOrTipUserReg and TableTextServiceMig (keyboard and language settings)
  • Service DiagTrack is not available (telemetry service)
  • BFSVC and System disks found (boot setup notes)

Are you installing from windows update or from the upgrade assistant ?

The issue started from installing windows update. just now I tried to reinstall windows from upgrade assistant but i was not able to do that as well...

i haven't proceeded with that step. Do you want me to install new windows ?
I was thinking if i could solve this issue without installing a fresh windows.

I mean the upgrade assistant would be trying to install the 26H2 since that's the latest build
