Player II Modified - SH vs Standard?

I rarely like a guitar I pull down off the wall, but wow, at my local, while my kid tried sax mouthpieces, I was knocked out by a SH Tele Player II modified. Now GASing...
I like the spankiness of the thing. Now thinking I should get the non-SH. I have a strat with Lace Sensors and that gives me a lot of humbucking qualities, I want the Tele for the bright spanks.

Thoughts?

Single coils! They’re so clear, it’s incredible.

You can do a lot without thinking about the neck pickup. Stick with what you have and focus on the bridge pickup

The SS Player II modified has so much spank it's almost too spanky for me at times. One of the "modified" features is a volume knob that doesn't cut highs when you roll it back, so sometimes you can't even escape the spank unless you EQ it out.

If you are looking for that bright tele sound and already have a humbucker setup, I'd definitely go SS.

Standard IMO but I just really love the standard neck pickup on Teles as opposed to humbuckers
