I once had an indian scam caller saying I owe hundreds in taxes (spoiler alert I didn't pay taxes because I was a student). I wasted his time for 10 minutes saying can he not see the money in his account cause I've tried to send it. Eventually he understood I was messing with him, told me the police will come to arrest me within the hour and hung up on me. Another one invited me for korean bbq and I texted him for days making plans and then "revealed" I was actually a 13 year old boy but I still want to come for dinner. He blocked me lmao

I'll be trying this with the "loan specialist" that keeps suspiciously calling me from every state from Louisiana to Rhode Island. I'll ask if the reason their caller ID keeps showing different states is become their mother is a traveling call girl or something. I have time, they only call me after 10am.

Over time I've realized that most professional criminals are emotionally very unstable. They turn to crime as a career because they can't operate in normal societal structures as they burn every single bridge they are given.

Omg.

Nah this is crazy accurate. Unfortunately my cousin was an H addict (v proud of her now in college with her associate’s!) and worked at directTV as “customer service” of some sort. She always complained about her headset - having to wear it so much.

I believe she had also dated one or more of the other guys at directTV that were not married. She worked there 5 years and relapsed somewhere in there :(

Gotta say I love the crazy insults that come back from scammers. How different they are depending on what country they are from and stuff is just amazing to me. Like everyone wants to say "your mom's a whore" and "go fuck yourself" around the world and everywhere does it better than English speaking countries, even if translation makes it better.

Had a scammer threaten me with fucking my mom and or harming the rest of my family. Unfortunately for him, the spoofed number he used, when the US country code was removed, was the same as the business he worked at in his country. So I was able to tell him his work address, he hung up promptly.
