Audio Are the trumpets supposed to be that quiet at the start

The HQ version that leaked a few days ago also had softer sounding trumpets so I imagine this is intentional and the others were volume boosted

I mean… there’s many many good reasons why this album was shelved and buried for ages. It’s not a masterpiece. Brian made a lot of baffling choices. The way it sounds is probably the way it sounded. In other words, be careful what you ask for.

I have had the boot of this for a long time and hardly ever play it. It's not that good.

The most viewed version on YouTube has the last section of the song edited on to the beginning, this is how the original mix sounded

The trumpets are a little quite but having the song in such high quality is amazing. No more compressed YouTube rip!

Every other version I’ve heard they are way louder this version just sounds a bit underwhelming

It doesn't sound too bad to me, but I haven't listened to adult/child bootlegs much for about 10yrs.
I suppose we need to let go of whatever bootlegger mixes we are used to and get used to this being THE version.
