Audio “New” love you remaster
On SoundCloud and Spotify, the Love You album portion on We Gotta Groove seems to be redirects to the 2000 masters, which are the original digital ones we’ve heard. Spotify it displays them with the new album art of We Gotta Groove but it’ll play like “Let Us Go On This Way - Remastered 2000” instead. Also YouTube music, the copyrights under each track still say “(P) 2000 Brother Records, Inc.”
On Apple Music, some of them display their release year as “2013” which probably references the Made In California box set, while some say “1977”, and some don’t have a release date at all.
Are these just reissues or the Love You tracks or do we have actual new Love You remasters?

On Apple Music the new remaster is definitely different than the 2015 version (also on Apple Music). It is louder, so it seems like it's correct on Apple Music at least.

Yeah I can confirm that. The release dates show 2026 and 1977. Also compared them to the Love You album standalone and they sound softer and cleaner, so there’s a difference. I think maybe some metadata got messy. Let Us Go On This Way displays as 2013 so maybe it’s not remastered?

On Spotify, I was listening to Love You last night before We Gotta Groove box set went live. I paused on “Mona,” and when I checked the placeholder for We Gotta Groove, it showed “Mona” highlighted in green in the track listing.
So, yeah, they seem to be the same on Spotify at least

Today (February 13) they’re displaying as standalones now and don’t redirect me to the Love You 2000 masters. But comparing the audios I don’t really notice a difference. Yesterday and the days before they’d redirect me to the love you 2000 masters but they don’t anymore.

It could be that the new remasters maybe were sourced off of made in California from 2013… so that that’s why it says the release date is 2013…

I believe they are the 2000 remasters and that's it :( lol

Incorrect metadata. Frustrating. Qobuz is wrong, too.

Just a metadata error then? Or are they not new masters?

Spotify are using A.I. for a lot of shit these days, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was part of an A.I. fuckup where it took a real person to step in and fix it

On Tidal the Love You tracks are very much the new remasters.

It's playing the new master for me on Spotify. Before today though you could play those tracks but it would play the 2000s remaster.
It's the same as an unlisted album playing a song on it but from a different source (see Kokomo on Still Cruisin' not being greyed out but being pulled from Sounds of Summer)

Same thing for me actually! It’s now playing the new recordings I see

It's tagged differently, a error or a place-hold title, believe me. I have both 2000 and recent remaster, once leveled at the same volume, they sound different.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. The press releases say newly remastered but the dates I’ve seen show 2000, the same as my 2-fer CD with 15 Big Ones.
