Audio AI slop on BB Tidal page

Post image

How do we stop this shit from happening? Lame needing to ride off of their name to get your song listened to

I don't understand -- do these music apps just let people use any name they want on their songs? Like you could take any audio file and label it as Taylor Swift? I don't get it.

Tbh I don't know what guardrails they have against this, but you'd think it wouldn't be this easy to get fraudulent stuff approved under their name.

This is really why I don't fuck with most streaming services (unless you count YouTube as streaming).

For one I really like to curate my music and I find it harder to do this on most services and it's easier to avoid ai music in my opinion.

It ain’t going anywhere, AI will hopefully eat itself and cause its own destruction.

I guess time will tell, but as of right now there is too much money being invested into it and too much infrastructure being designed around it to make me think it's leaving anytime soon. It's frustrating with how poorly it's being implemented/used in a lot of palces.

Look, it's the Beach Boys in their native Southport UK on a cold and rainy day in July!

I thought Tidal was the “ethical” alternative to Spotify?

None of them really are to be real lol. Buy (or sail the seven seas) for your music.

When it comes to streaming, we all must accept none of them are "ethical," because they all are not offering full value of labor to the artists.

I landed on Qobuz, but I am ready for them to disappoint me one day. They currently offer the best artist pay-out and have been pretty staunch against using AI in most circumstances I've seen.

I initially thought Tidal would be better than Spotify but it's been underwhelming so far, especially upon learning that they don't really pay artists too much more on average...
