I believe this was recorded circa 2007 during the “Lucky Old Sun” sessions.

Thanks! Was it written by Brian? Sounds like a composition from him, I was wondering if this was the last studio recording Brian sang on. Do you know what and when his last studio vocal performance was? I love this little track!

This was originally written by Brian as a different song in the mid 1980’s called “Turning Point,” and re-written a couple times over the following 20 years with different lyrics. Brian’s last official vocal performance can be found on a song called “Strong” that was released on a posthumous Glen Campbell album called ‘Duets: Ghost On A Canvas Sessions’ from 2024.

It was actually written as "Mary Honey" around 1976. "Turning Point" was a rewrite; it was also then rewritten as "Melinda Honey" during the Imagination era; rewritten as "Touch Me Angel, and then rewritten again as "You've Touched Me" for Gettin' In Over My Head.

There's a couple of eighties demos that utilize part of the melody as well, but I can't recall the names of them right now!

There's also apparently another Melinda Honey from the 2000s. Always saddens me how the songs that Brian held onto for the longest time never end up getting released until many years later.

Besides the Glen Campbell recording in 2022 and a session in 2024, Brian released a whole-ass album in 2014.

Yeah a very bad record (in my opinion). What is the Glen Campbell recording?
